Do you have a kingdom? If you do, I'll trade it to you for this bridge I have...its just down the road, in Brooklyn.

Sure, its a beat up old SUV, a "historic" home and a nearly genius dog with bad breath...ah yes, living the dream

If you ever find a dog with pleasant breath, let me know, I'll call the Guiness Book people.

Bohemia's Wenceslas I dies September 23 at age 48 after a 23-year reign in which he has protected his country from the Tatars of the Golden Horde (who ravaged Moravia), encouraged wide-scale German immigration, brought Austria under his control for a while, and antagonized the nobility by seeming to favor the Germans.

Interesting historical tidbit: know where the Sudetenland is? That's right....Bohemia. My what unforeseen consequences our actions can contribute to.

1254:
* October 10 - Edward Plantagenet marries Eleanor of Castile. His father Henry III had demanded the marriage in exchange of ending the war with her brother Alfonso X of Castile
* December 2 - Manfred of Sicily defeats army of Pope Innocent IV at Foggia.
* King Louis IX of France, having exhausted his funds and being needed at home, abandons the Seventh Crusade (which he had conducted first in Egypt and then Syria) and returns to France.
* King Louis IX of France expels all Jews from France.
* King Afonso III of Portugal holds the first session of the Cortes (Portugal's general assembly composed of nobles, members of the middle class, and representatives from all municipalities) in Leiria.
* In England, an important step in the evolution of the Parliament and Peerage occurs, as lesser barons are replaced on the King's Council by elected representatives from shires and cities.
* Pope Innocent IV excommunicates Conrad IV of Germany and Rudolph I of Germany (later elected Holy Roman Emperor).
* The Ghibelline town of Pistoia is taken over by Guelph Florence.

It is a great example of cause and effect. OTOH, the latter day corporal would have found something else to pick a fight over. Not that anyone took him very serriously even in this case.

If only Neville had been in the army. He would have known not to trust a corporal.

I find it fascinating that Bohemia was to be annexed into Austria within a century or two.

My littlegirl dog generally has pleasant breath... she discovered she likes to occasionally chew on dryer sheets(fabric softener) - and she generally smells like she has applied a very small amount of perfume...

Amazing! Either youve discovered the first self-cleaning dog....or your wife's been doing something behind the scenes after the little dear was used as a urinal.
