Hail and well met, my friends!

I've returned from a hiatus of nearly two years in length...and the very first game I purchase from Matrix upon my return is Forge of Freedom.

Great game...just wish I could get past this learning curve.

I see some old debate opponents are around and am glad to see they are still amongst the living here.

I'm very busy throughout the week, but every so often I can break for a PBEM game or maybe even an online game.

Too bad my copy of Crown of Glory is on my ex-wife's computer (unless she deleted it) else I'd have that to play with some of you as well.

Alas, time to go back to the grind.

Your ex got your computer! Why is it the wives always hire the best lawyers?

Its not that they hire the best lawyers, it's the fact that the laws lean towards favoring the wives, thereby making it easier for them to win things in court.

Next time you have to grovel....   , on second thought, that doesn't work either...

She got a computer, but not the best one. Bad things would have happened had she tried for my ubercomputer..well, it was uber when I bought the parts. :)

The one she got just happened to have on it the games I bought from Matrix so, I'm screwed on those.

Not just the laws, but perhaps everything in the system. Had I done what she did in order to get custody of our children I'd be in jail. Since she's the mother, she got away with it.

Enough of that though, I'm here for da games mon!

if u have the data of the purchase for CoG Khornish, u can try find old games u bought digitally on

www.findmyorder.com

I had a similar problem with WITP, no wife included in problem tho and after a nice letter to DR they made it avaible to me to re download beyond the normal periode.
Might be a idea to try.

Kind regards,

Rasmus

Stick with it. Once you get past the learning curve it gets even better! I'm still learning myself. I haven't played with all of the options yet. I'm still playing the intermediate level. Look around the forum- there are some good tips on playing. And, for the first time, I actually found it useful to read the manual once or twice.

I have enjoyed FOF so much over the months that I tend to forget how frustrated I was with the interface when I first started playing. I wrote some harsh notes to this forum, at least one of which I later semiapologized for (I complained about the manual, and later decided it was quite well done). In any case, there was a lot here that was not intuitive to me and it took a couple of weeks or so to get comfortable and to start figuring out how to win.

Oh, I will, I will. I'm a historian by schooling and hobby, playing FoF falls under "research" for me when I need to chill. :)

I hope to eventually have time to start playing PBEM or online. I'm very busy with classes and my sons, so it'll be a matter of a few months I expect.

Thanks for your input.

Thanks for the tip! The problem is; I moved across the country, changed banks (and credit cards) and email address.

I will probably just resort to begging. I posted here about playing CoG and I even had a couple PBEM and Online games with some of the folks who used to hang around here. If they are around and remember me playing, they could probably vouch for me.

My other games were only played solo and I never posted about them.

I even forget what all I had, it's been several years. <sigh>

Ah well, it's only money, I'll get more eventually.
