yes I am I really am a Dumb As.....
What is the most difficult job in art work for WITP
Answer Lining up the bloody Alpha air tops !!!
all those who agree say AYE and lend me your ears and eyes as I had an inspiration
2 hours ago - took 5 mins to work how how to do the kicked myself in the As... all around the computer room
I have perfected a technique to get the art in perfect sync
after all these years of dong by trial and error

This technique should work with art packages that can work with layers and also be able to use a grid
step 1 I have created a numbered overlay for each of the Allied side and top panels which are copied on the existing as an new layer (for those who have not worked with layers let me know and I will show how) the 2 files have been sent to Send Space and avail at web site in Extras folder

download link
http://www.sendspace.com/file/z60kex

These two overlays (have not done Japanese yet but hey are easy to create) make the Bitmap number a breeze to find) (they all so have nothing to do with the new technique - just a tool to help)
Step two how many artists who are working with aircraft art are still treating the tops and alpha panels as separate files - I was until 2 hours ago now they are one file for art creation only
I hope most artists know about layers and how to use them as this is the key to achieve
perfect sync
Using the tops panel as the base art go the alpha panel and copy - then paste into the 'tops' panel as a new raster layer and rename as Alpha Tops - you should now have a single file with 2 layers + the main top panel as base art
save this file (depending on art package) in use as a file type that can work with layers eg PNG or PSD (photoshop) or PSPimage (paintshop pro)
let me know if you find this saga of interest and I will continue next page

Cobra Aus ending part 1

Photoshop work should be teached at birth :)  While i never made graphic work for WITP for another game i am editing all my art work is just one big .PSD file. Note that in Photoshop files you can put layers inside folders which in Photoshop is called "Set"  making management easier.
