I wasn't going to post this here, but I had run it by David, got no reply, so I will! I released my Korean War mod for Divided Ground, for anyone interested. There is only one scenario at this time, called Yongsan by Chris Hobbes, but am hoping that the more people that know of the KWM, and download it the better chances of more scenario design!! It is available here-http://www.theblitz.org/mods/index.php.

This is a self-sufficient game in the download, just unzip into Talonsoft folder, it will create it's own directory for you. You MUST run the game from the file Divided Ground.exe in the main directory, not from autorun. Any questions/suggestions, just email me! Enjoy!

Mike

Downloaded and installed the mod and it works just fine. I'm not much of a scenario maker but I'm kicking the tires and giving it a look. Very impressive effort on the organizations and the unit handbook.

If you would like to try the game out, write me an email, I'll send the one scenario that Chris made, and a rather huge one I concocted to try things out, it's a fictional CCF/NKPA against the US 3rd Inf division.

I got your monster scenario and tinkered with it a bit but was too big for me to deal with

Instead I built a scenario, two PLA battalions attacking up a ridge against a Turkish reinforced battalion. So far (a few turns in) things are working fine. Like all the new sound effects, pictures and unit descriptive text. Very impressive mod!!!

LOL, yeah I got a little carried away with that one!! It started out with just the NKPA, then later added the CCF division to test their units out, I still haven't played half-way through it yet, so don't feel bad!  Glad to hear you are tinkering with it, there's a lot of new features in it, I hope you enjoy it!

Hi Warhorse !
i downloaded your Korean War Mod... and it seems to be a great mod !
I always wanted to make an Inch'on / Seoul Scen. or Campaign...
But unfortunately, i've not enough time yet to do it ...
So, i tried your mod and very like it ...
One question : In a personal test scen. i tried US air ground attacks with jets and just "F4U - Corsair" came in ... Where is the F86- Sabre indicated in the "Edit mode" ???
May be He was too fast on the map to see it ...
Thanks again !

Mike,

I'm still working on the Battle of the Ch'ongch'on.  Been majorly side-tracked.  Sorry.  But I just got the map out again and have started back up on this sea of hills

Did I miss something? DIvided Ground isn't part of this Campaign Series release is it? Was Dived ground going to be released separately?

Thanks
Rick

Wow, alot to catch up on, thanks for all your responses!

Frenchy, I assume you did indeed select the F-86 and the F-4U in the airplane selection menu, but that during a turn when airstrikes happen, only the F-4U shows up? Did you see any messages in the bottom left during gameplay stating airstrike recalled, or similar? Sometimes, weather and such can cancel an airstrike! Let me know, okay?

Huib, no rush, my friend, I'm still finishing up the unittxt/pics files, but almost there!! I will announce, and somehow post an update when they are complete. I appreciate anything you guys do!

Hog Of war, ditto, and thank you for any contribution also, I'm not a scenario designer so much as an idea man, but I do plan to design a few, one is on Taskforce Crombez, playable, but want to refine it much more yet.

Bshin, check your email!!!

Rick, no, they are planning, last I was told, to make it seperate eventually, as well as my Korean War Mod as a single stand-alone game, and Majogs Vietnnam Mod also as a stand-alone, pretty cool.

Thanks again guys for your interest, I appreciate it!

Mike

Hello Mike,

During my scen. Test, i tried all airplanes available for airstrikes ... If an airstrike was recalled, i waited for the following turn and so ... At the end of my test... all air support available achieved their mission ... but unfortunately i didn't see the F86 sabre with no airstrike recalled ...
My file "scentest.org" is dated september 1950 ... may be the F86 Sabre (unit : P10504) was not available at this date ?

thanks again Mike, for all the works you did in this mod ....
