How this is possible.? enemy sent paras to Kuala and my weak garnison was more than enough to stop them... at least they should stop them. Attacker got 0-1 odds but captured the base.

Ground combat at Kuala

Allied Shock attack

Attacking force 28 troops, 2 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 2

Defending force 96 troops, 1 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 5

Allied max assault: 0 - adjusted assault: 0

Japanese max defense: 2 - adjusted defense: 1

Allied assault odds: 0 to 1 (fort level 0)

Allied forces CAPTURE Kuala base !!!

Allied ground losses:
24 casualties reported
Guns lost 1

Defeated Japanese Units Retreating!

It may look not so important but enemy invasion fleet is just one hex from Kuala and thanks to this wierd combat result enemy troops will unload with no disruption....

This is a second time that unusual things with ground combat happends...

Enemy (allied) units at Tavoy are surrounded and with no retreat path... My opponent ordered attack (after a weeks and weeks useless Japanese attacks) because he wanted to kill them (and allow parent units at Victoria i guess to recive replacements once when these fragments are killed)

quote:

Ground combat at Tavoy

Allied Shock attack

Attacking force 1720 troops, 0 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 46

Defending force 67065 troops, 652 guns, 137 vehicles, Assault Value = 1083

Allied max assault: 42 - adjusted assault: 0

Japanese max defense: 1083 - adjusted defense: 2695

Allied assault odds: 0 to 1 (fort level 9)

Allied ground losses:
90 casualties reported

I think that i attacked enemy units surrounded (I'm the JFB!) at Tavoy after that and look what i got:
quote:

Japanese Unit(s) surrounded at Tavoy

Japanese Unit(s) Wiped Out at Tavoy by attrition!!!

Fortunatly, this message wasn't correct - enemy (Allied) units surrendered at Tavoy and i didn't post that because only the message wasn't correct. But now i have serious reasons for complain, as i've already mention!

My presumption and I could be wrong is that Pauk only had non combat troops and they retreated when my Ghurka paratroopers attacked the way than HQ or only support squads sometimes retreat and that the base reverted to my control after that

nah, air transports move combat squads first IIRC (i just move troops the same turn you attacked!)

His name is not showing up on the "non-banned" list, so presumably he is not...

i was about to run the turn to see if i can reproduce it, but it occurs to me it might not since i do not have the ALLIED turn... the die rolls are affected by exactly what happens in sequence, so it might not reproduce.

Also - i am uncertain WHAT Allied forces are involved, since they were apparently paratroops. (No Allied troops present at Kuala in the IJ save).

Andy Mac or Pauk - do you have a save? (finalized Allied will do at this point).

Off to keep wife happy for a bit, so no immediate hurry...

So lemme see if I understand this....your defenders in the hex were 100% air-traned the same turn that the Ghurka paras assaulted? This would probably account for the result, disablements from air trans then disablements from combat....if at the end of combat you had no undisabled combat-capable squads, you would lose regardless of odds (I think).

Pauk - would have have kept an Allied finalized turn (which would be immediately before the "glitch")?
