BTW Dixie, you may want to go back and read the past few pages of Thread II... (or not) - it will explain a few things that have gone on...

Awwww, reading I may just wait for the movie

I've started reading through, it may take a while though. I'm also reading the last pages of Thread I as well. Is there any chance of somone explaining briefly and without name-calling etc what happened so I don't need to read everything (i'm too lazy ) A PM would probably be best, to keep this place clean.

In other news: Anyone else heard about the dam near Rotherham? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/south_yorkshire/6239782.stm

Why does rain (and snow) always take this country by surprise. It's not as though we live in the desert, so why does rainy weather cause such chaos?
You don't see the Taureg people of the Sahara complaining about unexpected heat waves....

Well I think it happens everywhere... In Poland as well people and certain organizations are suddenly surprised when the weather starts to cause chaos... They are always unprepared

Year 14:

Tacitus reports that the town and port of Nauportus is plundered by a mutinous Roman legion that has been sent there to build roads and bridges. (Much more advanced now - we use politicians...)

Tiberius succeeds his stepfather Augustus as Emperor of the Roman Empire.

Legions on the Rhine revolt after the death of Augustus; Germanicus and Drusus put down the revolt.

Germanicus is appointed commander of the forces in Germany, beginning a campaign that will end in 16.

Augustus dies and is declared to be a god.

A census indicates that there are 4,973,000 Roman citizens.

Claudia Marcella marries Sextus Appuleius.

Sextus Appuleius and Sextus Pompeius serve as Roman consuls.

First year of tianfeng era of the Chinese Xin Dynasty.

Famine hits China. Some citizens turn to cannibalism.

Well, actually when you posted that "some citizens turned to cannibalism" I started to think about the meaning of 'some' when it comes to China...

I may be going to Duxford tomorrow, although I suspect the weather may be against me, we shall see.  Off to carry on looking after my nephew for a bit.

Just read what happened here...

It is really sad to see that "strangers" can provoke bans to longterm forum members who actually have been helpful to newcomers, etc in this witp forum.

There really is something wrong with that concept and with all do respect I think mr. Heath isn't serving Matrix any favours here with these bans.

After reading the whole T saga and last Thread pages I think I might suspend my AAR's. I don't see much of an point continue them after this nonsense by "master" moderator.

Anyway nothing personal and keep up "new" thread and live in peace.  (it is actually funny to read time to time)
