The manual states that if you add multiple objective tracks to a single formation you better go ahead and add multiple tracks to all of them or else you risk strange behavior with the PO. In people's experience is this true? Can you add multiple tracks for all the formations in one force but not another and get expected behavior? Thanks.

As the game is currently designed, if you switch objective tracks, then all formations switch their objective tracks. Essentially, you only have 3 definable sets of behaviors, with respect to the objective tracks. All formations switch, en masse, to the new set when the event fires. Thus, if you have some formations without an objective track set, then they will behave poorly. I believe the scenario validation tool only verifies that objectives are set in the first set of objective tracks. What would be ideal would be objective tracks that are switchable at the formation level, rather than at the force level. This would allow a lot better fine tuning of the PO. However, it will take a lot more work to code and test it, too.

I always use the copy track-1 to 2/3 first and then change objectives on track 2/3 on the formations i want.

Thanks Erik. That is an excellent idea. I had managed to overlook the copy track option.

Is it possible to transfer an objective track from a modded scenario to the stock one?

Before you do the copy, suggest that you only input objective tracks for those formations that you want to remain the same (or close to the same) for all three tracks. Then do the copy so that you don’t copy a bunch of tracks that you need to remove.

Been my experience that erasing objective tracks is more time consuming than actually making objective tracks. Find that a little up front planning with paper and pencil makes the input a whole lot easier.

Agree, I would love an option to dele all of a specific formation's objectives of the current track

The current build has some small problems with it(you can't add objectives through the UI after importing them unless you import them after setting the x and y coords to 999.) Stupid programmers never test everything because they KNOW they didn't change that code so they don't need to test it..

After the patch, you'll be able to edit the XML data directly for objectives, allowing you to add/delete/copy/etc. more easily. I've got some other things planned for helping to edit them too.
