ok....what the HELL is a "faber"

From The Thread online English dictionary, submitted by rtrapasso

a "faber" is when someone (by their lonesome) manages to fill one entire page with their posts (that is ONE page)

a "super-faber" is when someone fills up **most** of a prior page and then 1 full page...

a "double-faber" - is 2 full pages. etc.

Getting back to ideas for my banner, it's a shame that the Battlecruisers have already been used - they were very handsome ships.

Where you after a photo, or artwork? Colour or B/W? I've got a nice pic of the County Class cruiser HMS Cumberland, cruising in front of a sunset.

Hi Dixie

Something similar to Yava's if possible. I have a soft spot for Exeter, the County Class and KGVs. Camouflage would be nice too... This was why I wanted to pay, because then I would not feel too guilty about being an awkward git. It's your fault, you know - what you did for Yava has set the bar very high.

a faber is defined as someone posting all the posts in one complete page... usually a stream of consciousness thing... named after the inventor, one fabertong (a strange penguin)...

I have a few pics of the Counties on the HD at home. I can't remember where I got Yava's sig pic from, I seem to recall that I found it already colourised in some obscure corner of the 'net. If there is a particular image you wanted then I can colourise it completely for you, but it will take a wee while.

This is another one I was toying with a while back, I quite like the County Class, for a ship

Dixie - you are either one HECK of a typist, or you did try a nefarious scheme - some of those posts were only seconds apart, so i suspect the latter...

I'm on a wireless network here, so the connection speed is very variable at the moment.

I can think of a way...but it's dashed unsporting, and against the 'spirit' of "Doing A Faber"
