Ciao,
I always enjoyed the random scenario generator with Peoples Tactics. Will this continue with AT?

Oops, I saw the features list again.  It will have random games again.  Good stuff.

Yes AT has a random game feature. Also it allows you to make mirror maps for fair random map PBEM games. It also allows for shroud of darkness games.

Victor is too modest. The random map generator is just great !

Compared to PT a very very big step. There it was the pure luck to get a fair PBEM map.
In AT you can set many things for the map. From map size and terrain to number of locations and their size.
The mirror option allows 100% fair PBEM games since the opponent have absolutely the same terrain to master
on his side.

Good Morning,
Thanks for the responses gents. The random generator sounds like it gives the player many great options. Just a thought, I suppose it is possible to randomly make a map and then go back over it with the editor to put more personal touches to it?

In PT, random games used the default ruleset and there was no way of selecting a different ruleset (eg Pacific) that I could find. Is this feature included in PT2/AT? Thanks.

Hi Machiavelli,

That feature has indeed been implemented. However the game will ship with only one ruleset. I put it in however since i expected it might be nice for modders to create some alternate random map sets.

kind regards,
Vic

Thanks Vic! Assuming I like the game as much as PT1 (not and unreasonable assumption given how good it looks!), I will definitely be making some rulesets.
