Factory does not produce a dang thing (a single mitsubishi engine) since dec 7th 41. Its still in (80) mode.
Its july 42 right now.
Big B 1.3 mod, stock map, everything is properly set (halt, Yes).
No problem with oil in Japan, no problem with resources, plenty of supply all around HI.

Is this something new or is this a well known SNAFU Ive missed?

Many Thanks!
FUBAR.

You need at least 10,000 supply at matsue for the factory to repair.  Although Japan has loads of supply it is sometimes difficult to get it to smaller bases.  best way is to transport supplies there by ship.  Once they are in position they will not get pulled out unless some other bases is low (or unitl used in the factory repair).

No problem with resource tranfer, and no real problem with supply transfer.  It is more a problem with not being able designate what supply level you want a base to have.  It is automatically done by the computer which tries to provide twice monthly supply needed for all the units at the base.  If you have very few units there then twice almost nothing is still less than the 10K needed for factories to repair.  The other alternative (the one I use for Gumma) is to put lots of units at the base so that it's 2x requirement exceeds the 10K.

If you expand factories with no restraint or plan for how they will become repaired, and then proceed to suck all the supply out of the Home Islands, yes, you will have serious problems keeping the necessary 10,000 supply in many hexes, and thus many unrepaired factories.

For the whole war, since the very beggining I HAVE not sucked a single supply point out of HI!!!
I am shiping oil and resources to HI instead. I got like 60ks in one place with 8k next door.

Thank You anyway.

Whats the use of algoryth which is not working properly and in addition can not be controled in an organized manner by the player? I really dont know.

Rafael,

Oil and resourses do not have any effect on repairing of factorys (other then how much supplies the Home Islands produce).

The main thing is supply. You need AT LEAST 10,000 supply at the base in question (in this case - Matsue). Having 10,000 supply at an adjacent base does not help. If the base does not have 10,000 supply, you can ship supplies to it (if it isn't land locked). Having a large LCU (division size), planes, and/or a HQ at the base in question helps draw supplies to the base. Also, even though building the base up uses supplies, the larger the base, it seems like more supplies get drawn to it. Remember, to repair 1 unit of a factory, it will cost 1,000 supply. So if you bring the base up to only 10,500 supply, the next turn the factory should repair 1 unit, but the supply will be down to 9,500 after the repair.

Charbro,

I do understand. I just do not follow the way a code is running.
We do have an economy in this game so I just dont get it why supply is moved by an AI to supply LCUs when its not moved by AI to run production but resources are.

Thank You All for kind answers. I do understand now that AI handles only part of production in the matter of fact and I do understand that I have to dislocate Army Divisions just to have factories running. Which is very realistic.
-Lets move to Matsue guys, we have a factory there!

Im just not used to ideas which are not well thought-out or implemented. I call this a mess.

Any way I love this game.

Yep...the "automatic" supply movement was not really well thought out. It would be really nice if you could assign the amount of supply that you want to maintain at the base and then have it transfer. I had the same problem as you, but at Kyoto. I could never get 10,000 supply to draw to the base, and being land locked, couldn't ship supplies to it. Once I increased the airfield size, the supplies started pouring in.

It is frustrating, but it is all that we got at the moment. Even with all of the warts, I still enjoy the game.
