I still had 1.5 on CD so I am going to load that then try loading 1.804 on top to see If that works. Then I have to load chs and ab's maps

1.5 is the version that I downloaded, followed up by the 1.804 comp, and now the 1.806. I've downloaded the chs and AB's maps, but haven't installed any of them yet. I'm still a stock player.

I took the plunge into CHS and the extended maps a few weeks ago...

I really like the extended map. I just wish there was a version of it like Subchaser's that shows small colored icons for resources, oil, HI, etc at the bases.

CHS is another animal. I am sure it's a huge improvement in accuracy and will probably be fine to play, but I'm still getting the hang of stock in my first game. For me, 2 varieties of AK are enough. I don't need to try to keep track of 15 different capacity AK classes.

I think there is a scenario for the extended map that uses the stock db. I may need to try that out for an AI game.

Very likely, my second PBEM game will be CHS.
