I continue to replay the 1962 Twins season, and have to say its been fun!! Have to say also, have had a rough road recently. Fought my way into second place, a game and a half behind the Tigers, who can't seem to do anything wrong so far.

On my most recent road trip, went to Baltimore for the first time, for a 3 game series. Lost the first two, but got the third game. Next, first time trip to Cleveland, for a 4 game stint. Lost all 4, including a double header,lol Went 1-6 for those seven games, and dropped to 6th place, like a rock falling from a cliff! Both Baltimore and Cleveland were under 500 before I played them, now I've helped improve them in the standings to be above 500!!

Got to love a losing streak, brings a new perspective to an over inflated ego, real quick!!!

I feel your pain, eddie! It seems that every time I give a press conference and extol the virtues of my team, I invariably get handed a dose of humble pie and look like an idiot.

How do real-life managers handle this? I've always admired the good ones, but now I've gained more respect for the guys who aren't blessed with a talented lineup. As for me, I won the World Series in my first year, so anything less than repeating will be regarded as a failure. Success is not what it's cracked up to be, because the bar keeps getting raised.

I agree KG, not sure how the Managers handle the pressure, at all! Can't imagine what its like to manage under Steinbrenner either,lol
