Status: offline 		This is a AAR for my game against chicago227. I am the allies he the japs. No opponent allowed.
Game is CHS only house rule is no sub invasions.
Dixie and Yava convinced me to start an AAR so I have other things to do with my time waiting for turn besides spamming The Thread. So the game date is 2/17/1942 I have lost all of the DEI except Tjilitjap and Soerabaja and Timor. In the PI i still own Clark manilla and Bataan. In china no major cities have been lost and but yenan is on the verge of being lost Forts down to 3 and 2to1 assault last time. In the Burma I still own akayab the India border and the Burma Road. and in the pacific. I own Port Moresby, Suva, New Caledonia, and luganville. Only Major Island lost in the central pac is canton.
We will start off with my major ship losses

Status: offline 		So my general thought here is that I am trying to rush in the Americal Division to Suva to reinforce that island. and a RCT and a Tank Brigade from Panama and a Dutch Base force from Melbourne to New Caledonia to try and shore up the defenses there. I have put major ground units on each one of the port hexes in the bay of Bengal and am rushing the 7th AIF Division from Aden to Perth(and hoping my opponent doesn't notice).I still have all of my CVs and a British one is about to join the Americans at Perl. Have reinforced all the lands that border the HI with a RCT or a 3rd of a division. Except midway which has a Canadian brigade and paylama which has 2 RCTs.

Status: offline 		My goal is to reinforce Suva/Luganville/New Caledonia and hold on to these islands. While slowing him down at Port Moresbey. And hopefully buying a few more turns at sing, the PI and java. Yenan I am rushing reinforcement to in an attempt to hold that city otherwise my entire north china front could be in trouble. I want to hold Perth and Darwin but the other ports on north/northwest OZ are expendable. I am currently as soon as the KB leaves going to resume my evac of the base forces left on Timor to Darwin and Broome. POW and Exeter and Houston plus escorting cls and dds are by Brisbane waiting to respond to any invasions in the south pac. A mini KB appears to be at Rangoon. So I have units ready to move in India incase of an invasion. This is my overall plan any questions?

Thanks Yava i am going to try and not post Combat Reports but summerize everything. I'm not creative enough to make up a side story like mandrake but i will try to keep it colorful and interesting.

North Pacific.
Nothing to report here slowly building up Dutch harbor east. Put in an extra rct at Dutch harbor a month ago. And moved a base force and an rct to Cold Harbor. Slowly want to build these basses before moving in forces to kiska and Attu. Neither of these has been occupied yet.

Central Pac.
Nothing to report here sortied my US CV force to meet up with a brit cv I have sent over. Sending Seabees to Christmas Island to slowly build up all the islands in the area. I need to neutralize Canton Island which was captured earlier in the war.

South Pac.
First elements of the Americal division are 2 days out from Suva. Suva should receive all of this division in the next 15 days. This should significantly improve the situation on Suva. Also sending 2 p40e and 1 a24 units from the west coast. These are probably 20 days or more out. New Caledonia is 7-10 days from receiving the first wave of a rct. Rest of the team and other units including a tank unit are 25-30 days out.

Southwest Pac
Looks like he is moving to isolate Port Moresby. The final resistance around Rabaul(they had been driven into the jungle 1 1/2 months ago) surrenders. 2 ships are 1 hex from Milne bay. Darwin aircraft are being built back up after the kb raid. Also kb has moved from Timor so the evac operation will continue.

BI.
Kinda quite here he looks like he is moving troops to attack myitkyina and imphal.

China.
Yenan looks like it is about to fall(forts down to 0) and I have been pushed back from the hex surrounding Ichang on the road to Chungking. I feel these 2 areas’ are the focal points for his offensive operations in china and am moving reinforcements towards these areas.

DEI.
Done Tjilitjap and Pamakasan about to fall. No units have yet to be moved into the sojo hex.

Feel everything is going as well as can be hoped right now. KB is moving towards java which I would assume is to crush sojo but I see a lot of shipping around Rangoon so I am kinda concerned that it will be moving towards the Bay of Bengal. If an invasion happens here I have been reinforcing the Bengal ports and have plenty of units. I am willing to lose tricomolee and Colombo. but am preparing to repulse any other seaborne invasion.

North Pacific.
Nothing to report going to start moving some engineers around to build up bases next turn

Central Pac.
All 4 American CVs will meet up tomorrow with the indomitable I was sending from India. Will probably use them to raid Canton Island. Seabees are about 5-10 turns out from the Line Islands.

South Pac.
First boat load of the americal landed on Suva. Over the next week the rest of this division should be landed. Also first troops are 7-10 days from Noumea

Southwest Pac.
Evacuation of Timor is proceeding. He will land on Amboina next turn. I have sent all my subs around Timor so it gives the appearance that I am trying to defend it even though I am not. He went for an unairescorted invasion of PM and his invasion fleet was shot up by my A24s so he diverted the force to Milne bay not sure if he will be able to take it with the forces he landed but he probably will.

BI.
Mini KB is raiding Colombo and caught a 3 ship supply convoy and sunk 2 of the aks. I have moved fighters into this area for protection. Hermes arrives at tricomolee in 6 turns so I am hopeful that this is just a short raid or Hermes is toast. Also this could be a prelude to the invasion of Ceylon. I do not consider this island to be strategic and am willing to lose it and reduce it by airpower. Landings also today at port Blair. Enemy units have also moved into Myitkyina and Lashio

China.
Yenan Fell 2 days ago. Pulling all troops back to Sian Hopefully I can keep him out of Sian with level 7 forts and him having to shock attack across the river. I have 4 corps in Sian plus the retreating units from yenan and the corp I am sending from Honan and a gorilla corp.

DEI.
Tjilitjap Falls. This was expected though Pamakasan still holds. enemy kb pounds sojo.

Overall thoughts India is a little concerning. I am not sure if he is landing of if he is just bluffing to draw troops away. Either way I have to defend everything which means no area is as defended as I would like. Hopefully his plans become more obvious in the next few days. Any thoughts on things I am doing wrong or better strategies are welcome.

I am going to be on vacation this week so updates will be a little sparse.

Status: offline 		Well i have always liked febuary 24th as it is my birthday. And febuary 24th 1942 seems to have been an especialy good day for the allies. Our tea drinking breateren across the pond have scored a victory. In activity that can only be seen as some sort of invasion about to happen a jap cvtf consisting of the cvls zuiho ryujo and shoho attacked colombo. In a move that can only be seen as lucky for us the cvtf moved 1 hex into swordfish torp range and ryujo took 2 torps and subsequently sank. The next day the cvtf could be seen making a run back towards rangoon. I assume the other 2 cvs are now overloaded and heading back to offload aircraft. One can only assume that this will bring the full kb into the indian ocean.

North Pacific.
Nothing to report.

Central Pac.
American Carriers and Indomitable have rendezvous and now are headed back to pearl. I wanted to raid canton but feel one of my best assets right now with the Indian op going on is him not knowing where my carriers are.

South Pac.
The reinforcement ops continue in Suva. Noumea reinforcements should arrive in the next 5-7 days. Am thinking of shifting my cvs to Auckland to support the defense of this area once my next American cv arrives latter this month.

Southwest Pac.
Evac of Timor continues have gotten most of my units out if I can have another 8 turns I should have everyone out to safety. I have moved all useful air units out of Amboina assume he will assault it next turn with the force on the ground. It should fall. The unit that landed at Milne bay retreated towards Buna after a failed shock attack. I get another coy in Sidney in 2 turns and will be moving it to Milne ASAP. The longer I can make him fight for this the longer it keeps PM safe.

BI
Port Blair is captured I feel he will be trying a seaborne invasion but the question is where. I will just have to wait and see. I feel I can defeat any attacks in the Bay of Bengal. But feel Ceylon is vulnerable. Lashio was attacked today but the japs only achieved a 0to1.

China.
Nothing to report here I am falling back and repositioning troops in the north.

DEI.
Troops finally moved into sojo. I feel in will fall in the next week or 2.

CA Chikuma, Mine hits 1 at Batavia(I love O19 and O20)
AK Iwashiro Maru, Shell hits 6, Torpedo hits 3, on fire, heavy damage and is sunk By O16
