I clicked the "help topic" at the top of the screen and suddenly my map zoomed in. How can I undo this? Restart game doesnt help..?

Are you sure that you didn't hit your mouse scroll wheel, by accident when you were clicking up there? If so, then scroll down "one click" and the map will return to normal scale.

Hmm nope. But I found out that If I open the editor and close it again the zoom level is back. This bug (I assume) is repeatable.
If i again try to open the ingame help topic this occurs again (and no help files show up). Ive the german language running btw.
Restarted the computer also but still...

(Scrolling the mouse wheel doesnt do anything btw).

You should be able to click on the zoom button, in the panel on the right side of the screen. This will cycle first to the small 2d version. Then click again, to cycle to the normal 2d zoom level. This way, you don't have to do the other work around you discovered. Thanks again for the report!
