Got a quick question. Its 2/18/42 in the game i'm playing and have the 19th BG (whats left of it) in Pearl Harbor with 3 B-17c's and 10 pilots. I have 22 B-17E's in the pool but it won't let me upgrade. Do I need more E's in the pool before the upgrade happens? thanks!

on the upgrade screen it should tell you how many aircraft are needed in the pool to upgrade, it might be 16, 24 48 or 72.
Something like, 19th BG is flying the B-17c and requires 'x' aircraft to upgrade.

Gem is right. If its a heavy BG (4Es) then usually it takes 48 planes to upgrade. If its a medium BG usually its 64. The number will be in paranthesis at the top left of the screen.

Upgrade early, upgrade often, upgrade everything to 4Es and bomb, bomb, bomb...BWAHAHAHAhahaha!!!!

You can also check your aircraft factories and see who's producing what and get a general feel of replacement rate.
4 engine bombers are the big boys of your airforce, tehy will be plentiful in time. Just rememember to base them at large enough airbases, at least a level 5 for the flying forts or and have enough aviation support for them or they will incur more operational losses and carry extended range bomb loads at their normal range.
be sure to have air HQs at their base or within the Hqs command radius.

As the allies you can simply look in the aircraft replacement pool screen (can be accessed through the information screen). You can't change allied production so for AC replacements that is the best place to look.
