Perhaps something is wrong but all I have is 6 scen with a few turns each and nothing that goes throuht the entire war. Am I wrong or something?

Those scenarios are start points. You can play a single year of the war or continue on till the end.

Some people have trouble getting past the end of 1914/beginning of 1915 turn if they have the sound turned on. If you dont get the continue arrow at the end of 1914 you need to have the sound off at the end of year turns.

When you come to the end of the mini scenario, the Victory Screen should provide you with the two choices illustrated below:
