Hello, I'm a long-time lurker, and occasional poster - I'm in my 7th season of a historical league starting with 1986 managing game by game. Puresim is a great game and I love the fact that Shaun is back to improving it regularly.

Speaking of which, I thought maybe now would be a good time to bring up a few statistics errors that I've mentioned before in these forums, but still exist in the game today - these aren't killers, but I'd really love OPS to be fixed:

- WHIP in-game does not get calculated correctly. It appears that hits don't ever get counted. If a pitcher were to start a game with a 0.00 WHIP, his WHIP is sure to stay at 0.00 no matter how many hits he gives up. This is in-game only. WHIP is calculated correctly after the game. I know Shaun recently fixed an in-game ERA bug, so hopefully this line of code is right above or below it and fresh in his mind ;)

- In the statistics screen, Wild Pitches show career wild pitches no matter what selection is made in the dropdown

- Slugging % (and therefore OPS as well) is not being calculated correctly. The calculation for slugging should be (hits+doubles+(triples*2)+(hr*3))/ab. When I calculate the numbers out myself, I always come up with a higher slg% than shows in Puresim. I'm thinking perhaps it is adding doubles, triples, and home runs to the at bats side of the calculation too? SLG% is incorrect on all areas that I can see (team statistics, statistics & reports, almanac, etc.).

Thanks for listening. Even if these things never get fixed, I'm still a Puresimmer.

Correction in my previous post - SLG% is only incorrect in the Almanac.  I should really have triple-checked my calculations before posting - sorry about that

Pitcher Appearances are also incorrect in the almanac. It doubles GS for some reason.

I fixed the others, but can you tell me exactly what screen you are seeing this on? I must be missing something?

P.S. Make sure you are not reading it wrong because the regular almanac page is always up to date, meaning it adds in whatever the player has done in the current season as well. Could that be what you are seeing?

I swear it was happening in other places in the almanac too, but at the moment the only place I can find the calculation error is in the team batting register.

Here's a screen shot of the HTML almanac. The GS are doubling in the G column. Norwood Gibson started 30 G and has not appeared in relief. His G is 60 and his GS is 30.

Ahh, the HTML almanac! I was looking on the almanac screen in the game. Thanks for posting that screen shot.
