My JFB oppoenent and I are ready to tangle in PBEM. His game says it is version 1.806. However, he does not have the PDU option. Has he loused up the sequence of upgrades?

If you want/agreed to PDU = ON, then I think so. As far as I know you cannot change that option mid-game. Maybe someone else can chime in if that is wrong.

Off Topic,..... but I just wanted to tip my hat to another Georgia Gentleman who dabbles in the fine gaming experience known as WitP! Good luck sorting out your PBEM problems.

Cheers!

As a point of clarification, we have not yet started the game. As we were preparing to begin, we compared stteings. That is when we noticed that he lacks the PDU option.

I am guessing he missed one of the patches.

PDU option must be decided on before the game is started.

It can't be changed later.

Only in an AI game can it be switched on later.

BTW, a game started with no PDU's will be a little more historical, as far as the pace is concerned.

He has to install the latest comprehensive patch (1.8 I believe, its in the stickies up top) and then patch to 1.806 (or 1.804 if thats what you are). You both need to be running the same version.

Thanks to everyone for the help. My opponent is reinstalling the game before we start.

BTW, this will be our first PBEM. We could not have reached this stage without the fine information in the forum. Thanks again.

I'm a Georgia resident and UGA grad. That's why I have to pull against the Auburn Tiger. Thank goodness there aren't any Gators, Vols, or Klempsin Tigers playing the game.

I know of at least one game that AUTiger is playing against NCSUforest, so of course SEC pride meant that I am pulling for AU over the representative of the ACC...

Oh, and RevRick, who lives down Brunswick way, is a Free Shoes University fan... and Mad Cow is a Gator fan (though not a Gator alumnus) but he hasn't been on the WITP forum in years that I recall...
