Hm, if sweeps only goes in first from the base which launches bombers sweeps are impossible to conduct if you plan huge multiple base strikes... Sweeps SHOULD go in before any bombers if you ask me. Possible fix? Indeed, the undercarriage looks frail, but the only problems encountered during test flights was high left torque and vibrations in the aft propellor shaft. Problems with the rear propeller touching the ground was rectified by adding 2 small tail wheels on the tail. A total of some 170 Shindens were ordered into production in August 1945 and the first ones were 90% completed by the end of the armistance. Another 6 months would probably have been needed to correct teething problems. ------------------------------------------------------- NEWSFLASH!!! Suddenly 129 B-29s arrived over Yanam - a tiny size 1 port and af east of Madras and west of Diamond Harbour. Enemy carriers and transports were also spotted just nearby. Andy didn't waste time. An attack by enemy glider troops were repulsed by the Base Force Garrison that had 40 SNLF squads. Forts were lowered from 9 to 8. -------------------------------------------------------- In the Central Pacific enemy carriers chickens out and leaves huge enemy convoys without protection, 35!!! different transport ships are hit.
