What is the most efficient way to have an event--preferably a theater option--result in one of two outcomes?

Let's say I want event A to trigger event B OR event C. One or the other, not both.

thanks

Try this:

#1 TO, activate 2
#2 Turn999 News only (no news)
#3 EvAct2 'effect1' 50% probability
#4 EvCancelled3 'effect2'

I suppose event 4 will fire one round after event 3 (if this fails its probability check), maybe do a test to see if i am right with this assumption.

Note that the "Event Cancelled" trigger only works with events that failed a probability check, but not with events that are cancelled with the "Cancel Event" Effect. This: http://www.tdg.nu/articles/design%20articles/The%20Evil%20Ed.htm should give you more insight into the Event Editor.

As written, Event #4 should fire the same turn that #3 fails its probability check.
