a) The French and British are still using neutral Switzerland to their advantage.

If this keeps up I'd like the ability to declare war on Switzerland as the CP

b)A turn after Britain surrendered, I got pop-ups on all there cities being captured (I never invaded). The odd thing was it would not show the complete message, it would say

"The city of London has " or something similar and that was it. The other oddity was that these messages would pop-up at the beginning of every strategic phase afterwards, until I had won the game.

I'll check this Joel.  I don't recall Britain ever surrendering in playtesting.

Britain surrendering? yikes. That did in fact NEVER happen during testing... I know I was never good enough to force that.

BZ to you.

I was the CP against the AI.

I conducted a vigourous naval offensive in the Northern Atlantic, so I think I basically starved the Brits into giving up. At no point did I invade any British territory in the home islands or elsewhere. France and Italy and Romania were still gamely staying in the war. (Russia had surrendered previous to the British surrender.)

I basically conducted a East Front first strategy without invading any neutrals.

I have three save games during the course of the game, one illustrating the violation of Swiss neutrality, within a turn or two of Britain's surrender and one after they surrendered.

I've seen on this forum some screenshots of a larger number of VP for the CP then what I ultimately obtained. So I'm not sure the strategy was best for an early or the largest possible victory.

Joel, if that save where there's a violation of Swiss territory repeats and is not after the fact I'd like to see it.

Frank,

The save was unfortunately after the fact, that is I noticed the units in the Swiss hex after the battle resolution and hit the save button at the beginning of the next strategic phase. So I gather that it will be of no use to you?

The hex in-question was the farthest most eastern hex of Switzerland. (I'll double check at home tonight) in case its a simple matter of a hex attribute not being set correctly.

I gather gather from your comment that you are not interested in the save file from after the British surrender?

Joel
