With the new version 1806 has any of the production criteria changed for the Jap production.

Also when moving oil and resources where is the best place to move it? Osaka, Singapore, Hong Kong?

Not sure what you mean by "production criteria"?

And you only move resources to Singapore and Hong Kong as way-stations to the Home Islands, Formosa and/or Shanghai.

No it costs the same. And yes, you do move oil to Singapore, Hong Kong, ect. If you are playing CHS Hong Kong requires 3900 resources a month as well. I forget what you need in stock. All my current games are CHS, sorry

I am of the opinion that the auto convoy system is the only surefire way to get your merchant marine sunk. It just plain does not work. Whether playing stock or CHS move resources and oil to all non Japan factories equal to the factory level times 35 each month to ensure that produce for you. After this has been achieved send everything else to Osaka. Consider Hokido as a non Japan factory area for this plan. This may seem like micromanagement but the key to survivability as the Japanese is production.

Well other than HK is a lot of points and give you an airbase in which to cause a lot of turmoil in the Jap heartland, not much

As to what magic bullet you can shoot at the Jap to stop his economy, there isnt one. You need to do a long term, multi-phased economic attack.

If you are looking to hurt the Japanese strategically then the retaking of Palembang should be your first priority. Resources and not oil are the main choke factor in a CHS game. So targets with large resource centers should be your targets. Here is a small list: Palembang, Kendari, Tarakan and Kualalumpor.

Ok cool. I have palembang as my long range objective SW pac atm. Though forming up an invasion and clearing a supply route to the objective is difficult atm. Kendari was a sideline trgt until I read your post. MacArthur now is Very interested in taking this bit of real estate. :)
Thanks
