An update and two new additions for the weekend:

1) I updated the 2006 Ballparks Collection. Once I took a look at the chart at retrosheet.org, I realized some of my deep fly ball ball-flight settings were too deep. I went through and cleaned all the flight paths so it should play a bit better now.

2) I created a new template, based off of the one that comes with the game for playing in MLB cities with fictional players. I changed the team names to be real vs. fictional, I assigned the right ballparks for each team (with the changes mentioned above), and I assigned logos to each team.

3) I added Abevs latest addin to the Odd's and End's page

Thank you so much for #2

Does it come with the latest version of 2006 MLB stadiums?

If I can get a copy of the Wrights FacePack, I will put it on my Rapidshare account.  The link is currently dead.

Padres Fan. I just wanted to let you know that for a couple of your templates that i downloaded i get a run time error "password is incorrect" when i try to use them, they are the North American Baseball League Association Template And KG Erwins 1946 template,i have not tried the Champions Challenge Yet.

Edit: and Champions Challenge works okay for me i picked my team and everything and am ready to begin league play on that one,so wouldnt that rule out a problem with compatibility with CE 5?

Padresfan,

That 2007 Template that JohnnieR made.. I'm using that and everything seems fine but I can't extend any of my players.  I've tried several and they all deny my extensions.  Any idea if that will cause me a problem with keeping my players?  Should I scrap this league and start over?

Hello!!

Thanks for all of your efforts!

I have downloaded some of these add-ons repeatedly.

I CAN"T get them to work at all.

I am no computer expert, but I can handle myself, learned on an old DOS machine with no hard drive.

Can you please, one more time, direct me to which folder the new, unzipped files get downloaded to, and instruct m from ther??

I am running Vista Hom Premium, and have just downloaded ver. 1.70

Please, any help at all will be so appreciated.

Have a great night!

Baseball Play-Off's, and NFL, all in the same week-end!! This is truly the best tim of year for any sport's fan!!

Thanks again.

Kyle Merritt

Kyle, which specific add-ons are you having trouble with? The ones offered by "Crash Davis" all go into the same location: C:\Matrix Games\PureSim Baseball 2007\mods\AddIns\vb6

PadresFan,

Thanks for the pursim baseball website. I've downloaded a lot of stuff from there!!!

I'm having problems with your 1980 template. Every time I try to load it up, to start running it, I get the following message:

Runtime error '3031': Not a valid password

The other templates load up and start up OK!

Thanks Again

Throttle - Yep, I'm seeing the same thing.  I wonder if Shaun changed something in the 1.70 code that is affecting my template.  I'll investigate.  Thanks for the report.

I just bought the game and picked up your most recent stadium pics and logos.  I must echo the sentiments from the others here, your work is amazing.

Quick q:  any word on 2006 or maybe 2007 facepacks?  If memory serves, the most recent I can find is 2005.

Thanks

GNDN - Thanks!  You are right, there hasn't been a new facepack in a year or two.  I'd expect to see an updated one sometime around the release of the next major version, next Spring..

Throttle - Shaun is helping with the Template issue, and I should have a "fixed" template uploaded soon.

PadresFan,

No worries about the face pack.  I have started updating the 2005 face pack set DraftDodger has on your site.  (Thank God the game is easy enough to modify in those regards.)

I have started a 2007 association and have been updating pics based on the 40 man active rosters of each team (as of the end of the 2007 season).  Right now, I have 3 teams complete (a slow start, I know).  This is more to satisfy my needs and will not be a complete update.  Once I am done, are you interested in posting it?  If so, how do you wish me to send it to you?

Thanks

Just bought the game and I am still in the process of downloading the official updates (modem connection), HOWEVER, I visited the PadresFan site and attempted to download several of the neat modds.  No soap under two different download programs I receive the message "File not found" for each and every modd.  I did get access to the 1.70 update which is now loading.

Any help?

I have completed a 2007 facepack.  How do I get it to you?

Thanks,

GNDN - Got your e-mail, and I must say that this is an AMAZING set. I know that you used Draft Dodgers 2005 set as a base, but you did a great job updating the pics for 2007. I think you are going to be making a bunch of folks around here very happy! I'll post this tonight.

I am trying to use the "trade_xml_files v2" mod but there is no instruction on how to update PureSim to use it.  Can anyone provide some insight on how I load this?  Thanks.

tj, looks like the author of this mod, "SittingDuck", hasn't posted here in quite a while. I wish I could help, but I don't use that mod myself...
