Mino bug when using the zoom

When looking at the unit details ('u' button) if you use the zoom, the unit report panel is not corretly displayed (only a small portion of the dialog is shown) but after minimizing the fgame , the panel is no longer here and you can select it again.

In fact, I haven't had time to check all the possible issues but I suspect that the same problem will be encountered when displaying the formation report, air briefing, ....

Another issue regarding the zoom: when used in editor it also 'zooms out' the 'terrain palette'.

Yes, minimizing, or ALT-TABing to another program will close the pop-up panels in TOAW III - both in the game, and in the editor. This is due to the archaic DOS-era code that runs most of the UI. Until the UI is completely rewritten for TOAW IV, this is the way it will remain.

Yes, this is a known issue. The use of zoom in the editor is for getting an overview, and not for actual placement of terrain, or units.

Can the zoom wheel be turned 'off'?

Also, when in the editor and using the buttons circled below, the unit information in the upper right doesn't change and while the formation stays highlighted in the main screen, the selected unit is not highlighted in gold/yellow. In the game itself, these functions work properly. I was just checking to see if this is a fluke that only occurs in my time warp.

No, good point. I noticed it, too, but forgot to mention it.

Well, that sucks, I was hoping it was just me and I could re-install or something to make it right itself. It's amazing how my simple mind gets used to something and then can't get over a slight change. Damn the subconscious!

Indeed this bug is happening to me as well when I use the Deployment Editor. When I hit the "next/previous unit" or "next/previous formation" buttons, the correct unit is highlighted in the Map Panel, but the unit shown in the Unit Panel does not change.
