Gen John P Henebry, who played a major role in the Army Airforces inovative low-level bombing of japanese ships in the south pacific in WW2 died Sept. 30th. henebry flew 219 missions in WW2 mostly in the Solomon chain while piloting a B-25 Mitchell. He helped plan attacks utilizing "skip bombing" a newly developed tactic. He was present for the signing of the surrender onboard the USS Missouri in Sept 1945
