Yeah... TM-6 should never have been able to absorb 62 shells before sinking. THEY'RE OVERPOWERED!!!

That were 2cm AA Shells, I expect!

Did the Kaga explode after being hit by the 12,7mm MGs?

It was the very first torpedo fired in the combat that caused the ammo explosion
(from TM-6)

Hey T I think that was a typo on your part... I think you meant TM-6 was "OVERWHELMED" not 'overpowered'
It's just not fair that the IJN ships all fired full broadsides into the poor little thing. The first shell probably sank her - the rest just pounded the flotsam into matchwood

I would like to abandon PT at all in my next allied game.  It causes many problem and not the least anger of IJ Player. As allied player one should have confidence to throw these pitiful things away and still win handsomely.

Given the size and strength of the opposition, I think we can safely assume about 60 of these arrived simultaneously, and any three of them would have done the job. But no gun-layer wants to think that his "hit" didn't matter, so they all get counted even if 95% of them did nothing but "make the rubble bounce".

That seems to be the experience of about 90% of the players. The later war Allied PTs do better.

In a recent PBEM even 3 IJ MSW beat 4 PTs. The MSWs sunk 3 out of 4.

Most of the time when I see PTs score hits on warships it is because a player has massed 20 or more in a TF. When run in small groups they are easily dealt with by Japan.

I have used the to decent effect when i strike a landing task force after the bb tf has left the hex. this of course doesn't stop the landing just sinks a bunch of ak and aps after the fact.
