With the past two Beta patches (Currently the newest one from 10/26), My games seems to freeze when I use the end of the game map as cover for my left or right flank. For instance, I entrench up to and against the western side of the map as flank cover (I know it's Cheating) and without fail my game freezes eventually. I don't get this problem anywhere else on the tactical map. I'm not sure if it is the flank thing, but there seems to be some significance to it in that thats the only time it has occured (6 or 7 times this and the immediately previous beta).

I changed the constants data file to KentuckUSABias 100, and LegendaryUnits 100, but all else is the same.

Do you happen to have save files from your detailed battles before this happens?

Part of me is tempted to say we should leave this as is, to discourage cheating.

I noticed something in the new patch (I haven't played much with the recent patches though) that is definitely in the small niggle category but nevertheless...when I entrench a unit, the movement counter decrements to 0 properly, but the blue hex outlines indicating the movement still available doesn't disappear.  It seems that the normal reaction to a unit expending all it's action points is to cycle to the next unit, but this is not occurring when the entrenchment button is selected.

If you click really fast you can actually move after entrenching.

I don't have the save file on me now. I actually played the same tactical battle file from the beginning without entrenching up to the edge of screen and was able to play through. I tried it again entrenched to the side screen and it froze again.

No big deal, I shouldn't cheat. I'm resolved to chalk it up to Electronic Kharma, or is it the computer becoming self aware and getting p/oed at my cheating ????????????????????

I always felt growing up that the computer did not want me to win. Why else would it always shut down at the most inoportune times, like when I was about to beat it at 10- Yard Fight on the NES? Was that really 20 years ago.....ouch!!
