AlvinS - Yes, it's a great game, but is taking over my life now! I was playing a nice demo game of a new 1st person game (no advertising) that's just been released and had to switch it off because I thought of a new strategy I could use in my current random game. Did it work? Well, in the short term, yes. Medium term? No. There was no long term. I had a lovely, strong front, hand picked to be of the minimum neccesary length between the mountains in order to maximise...oh whatever. The AI made a real mess of my front, despite it being deep and fairly strong, after pumelling it with units none stop for three turns until mine were weakened. It used combined arms until a hole appeared and marched through. On the next turn, it followed it up with dozens of other armoured infantry units in a convoy. Even air superiority didn't help me that much! The AI then proceeded (with a grin on its face!) to spilt up the convoy, moved groups of units towards my cities and flanked (the dreaded F word!!!) my frontline troops. I just couldn't stop it once it began and really could not reinforce units fast enough to help. By the time I'd managed to pull some of my forces back, I'd lost a massive number. Unbelievable!!! I was sooo confident of a long game in the making, but nope. I was creamed! So, I'm taking a couple of hours break from AT before my next defeat. And that's why you won't see an AAR from me any time soon. I'm far too embarassed Regards, Jim
