WA turn winter of ´41.
Germany is still investing heavily into Tanks, FT-s, and infantry...
There are four transports in W. Germany, there are 4 FT-s in W. France, with 2 Hb-s, and 2 paratroopers.. It looks like Sealion to me.
Cairo is abandoned, homeland is calling.
But the RAF and SAS are ready for any challange. Bring it on Adolf!

Germany: Spr '41 - Rommel takes advantage of the pull back in Africa. Cairo, Cyprus, Sudan and Palestine are liberated. Churchill's bacon is safe for now, but his summer house in Scotland is bombed. Dornitz turns the wolfpacks loose to good effect.

Turn sent to Haudrauf.

My ally should enjoy time in peace to build up his army...
Subs are hunted all over Atlantic... Mixed results, one sub destroyed, one LF damaged...
Germany is pressuring East Africa& London, so Iraq is emptied, the horn could fall this turn... But at least there is a bulk of Axis troops tied in these operation so the SU will have another year of peace...
Turn forwarded to Doug.

Germany; Sum '41 - The merchant war continues successfully (accept for one auto hit). The Wehrmacht fills the power vacuum left by the WA in Iraq. Yugoslav insults can no longer be ignored. Finally, the Luftwaffe continues to train on the Scottish factory.

turn sent to haudrauf.

The Japanese enjoy peace and air force manoevers. Finally the last Chinese factory was destroyed, although one of the bombers was suffering a light damage...

Busy turn for the WA. First concern is 6 GE transport(upgraded to 5, so each can carry one unit) in W. Germany... Fishing trip? I don´t think so... Second there are 2 HB-s+2 paratrooper units in W. France....
Something has to been done! So I ordered bombing of W. France! My pilots did their best and the Luftwaffe finally experienced heavy losses.. I hope first of many.
Kriegsmarine cowardly fights below surface, so we delivered some gifts to them, few oil marks left on surface..I hope greenpeace is nowhere near.
And finally, I decided to keep E. Africa altough there are 14! German units in siege... It is a gamble concidering that Hitler has his eyes on London, but we shall not give up from Africa without a heavy fight! (+ that will give Stalin more building time...).
Turn sent to Doug.

Germany: Fall '41 - The Fuhrer returns from a short trip to Russia and decides he likes what he sees. Not much change in the map of Europe this turn, but a few forces are shifted Eastward. Rommels push to return the jewel of the Italian crown (Italian East Africa) is thwarted for now. We shall see if this will stand.

turn sent to Haudrauf.

WA turn. Another sub was hunted down in Atlantic and there is only one active sub left... It looks like their golden time has passed
There where no Ger. FT-s over W. France so RAF HB-s had a target practice... Salute to the pilots, and greetings to drunk German AA teams, we will be back...
East Africa is in trouble, but every turn which I hold Rommel there, is time that Stalin should treasure and mass his troops... Just to let those Italians that we can hit back- trannie is sunk in E. Med..
Turn sent to Doug.

Germany: Win '42 - Resistance in East Africa crumbles. Mussolini rejoices as the Roman Empire is restored. Dornitz is fired for a spate of uboat losses, he blames the worker's union is blamed for substandard workmanship.

It is clear that AI is corrupted by evil axis forces... I attacked Ger. air force and ended with victory, but AWD had other plans :-)...
I hope this is one time thing. Load count this turn will go up by one (I hope).
But it is a good thing it has happened early in the WA move...
I will redo it now..

Strike 2! Identical results, same outcome- tilt of the game...
After that I did restart, give it a third go, and went jest fine... (Again with the same result of the battle). Here is the SS of the second error response.
Looks like IJ is getting ready to strike US. And GER is turn or two away from Barbarossa...

And the Japanese carrier air groups have their barbacue in Hawaii. Western and Northern Australia is liberated - moreover supply lines are cut. It is only a question of time when whole Australia will be ours. Northern Philiplines, Java and Malaysia also joined the Japanese Empire. The liberators were welcomed with flower gorlands everywhere.

No screenshots - again I forgot to take them...

Faulty, or dated, Soviet intelligence underestimated the effective range of the German airborne deployment. As a result a devastating attack on an under-manned Caucasus region is exploited by Germany. In addition, a poor decision by Army Group Central in the heat of battle results in a massive number of AGC armies retreating south to the area around Kiev, leaving them cut off from the front lines. Only bad things can come of this!

Kondor as WA... We see that comrade Stalin is in danger so we jumped in. First FT-s from England&Scotland cleared the sky over W.Germany, and then the 2HB-s took out defending arty making way for the infantry... Remaining militia unit was not a problem. In result Denmark is again free. WA troops came in and now W.Germany is in sight. That should relieve some pressure on the eastern front..
On the pacific just some retreats, but in Java sea IJN had it´s first loss- transport down, twenty-something to go.
Turn forwarded to Doug.

Germany - Sum '42: On the Russian front the Russian army in Kiev is eliminated. A little bombing is conducted against the WA fleet in the Skagerak. The uboat campaign continues. An Italian guerrilla unit conducts a raid in Congo.

Russian Summer of 42 turn.

Thanks to the Western Allies for opening up an early second front. It is a sacrifice that makes a difference. It was a mad scramble to summon troops to the front. It strained the Russian rail infrastructure to the max.

Germany has a huge armor group center that can strike just about anywhere from where it is stationed. Russia remains in peril. China finally had something to do, and they liberated Shanghai.

Dahnyul as Russia / China sends Summer 42 turn to Kondor as Western Allies.

WA turn. Chasing few subs here and there, damaging some Japanese infantry (first veteran award to mine CAG ). Basically just trying to lose as little ground as possible.
Our BEF in Danmark is not reinforced (WA lack of army forces on the ground+to many areas to defended...), instead another air strike on W. Germany was called. Losses where equal on both sides (which suites me just fine )
The game is heating up!

Turn sent to Doug!

A conservative fall for Russia. No offensives. Russia continues to brace for more devastating assaults from Germany's massive Army Group Center. China's economy remains crippled by the effective strikes from Japan's air force. Fingers remain crossed that the Allied forces will be able to apply sufficient pressures around the globe.

Fall 42 turn sent from Dahnyul as Russia / China to Kondor as Western Allies.

WA turn. Turn of great sea battles in Pacific... Japan is getting to strong, so I ordered my CAG-s to intercept. After the smoke settles none of the existing 4 IJA CV-s in central Pacific is operational... Only that one in Java sea.
I forget to took a SS, but manage to squeeze one in IJA after blow on mine CV.
I needed every resource that I could get to pull this one of, and now IJA is in a bad shape.
Against the Germans, nothing much this turn... standard, hunted some subs, scout W. Germany but there is to much GE Ft-s to engage this turn...
Winter is coming, will GE proceed in SU? Or will they stop now...

Turn forwarded to Doug

Germany - Win '43: I forgot to take screen shots. Army group center made a northward attack taking and giving heavy losses. In the South defensive positions have been dug. It was a fairly quiet turn at sea, one transport group on the Murmansk route is destroyed.

Germany peals off its Army Group Center into Army Group North and Army Group South. Both massive accumulations of superior strength knock at the doors of major targets. A few tactical strikes against transportation networks (rail and fleet transports) are all the offence the Soviets muster during the winter months, early in 1943.

Intelligence reveals Japanese production information.
Surveillance reveals Germany's state in the homeland. Is homeland security in danger from forces being deployed abroad? Clearly there is a paucity of ground forces in Germany at the moment.

WA winter turn.
Lone Art in Danmark has been sent to factory with continuos bombing, but manages to get autohit on my HF...
In the W. Med. my LF-s had a good hunt. That Stuka was still in transport and sub is just a bonus...
On the Pacific daring move against IJN was conducted. Goal is to separate home islands from supply routes. It is risky, but could pay off...
WA production is under heavy demands from beginning.. No supplies to the SU this turn..
Game is still very close...

Wow! Hey that's my partner!
Pretty cool, and just a little bit scary, to see Allied carrier groups adjacent to Japan in the Spring of '43.

This has been a satisfying game for both sides so far. As my partner says, still very much up in the air.
