10k PP WOW,

that sounds like a bug, or maybe you did something wrong in the editor. But if you have alot of production then the PP points for research will go up. There is some modifiere in the editor for this.

As far as i remember the upgrade costs are related to the productionpower placed on the map.
But then this should be a HUGE map full of big cities !!

The other possible reason would be that you or someone else changed the research mod in the
masterfile or on the settings screen for the random games.
But when i see you´re in turn two with over 300 PP´s and rifle II already developed i would query this is a
"normal" setup

Indeed I never understood how where the costs established, sometimes it's 2 pp to get a lvl-1 thing, sometimes 10...
At least in random games, in scenarios it's usually fixed I believe.

smaller cities in random games or only a few placed make upgrades cheaper (except you play with the setting i showed above....)
That´s a good thing since you can still do some upgrades even on very small maps, but it also prevents you to do a
"i tech everything to level IV"-strategy on bigger maps with dozens of cities.
I did not play random games since a long time, but when Vic and I did the tests for combat balance we played often on maps like 40x30
or something like this with 20+ cities. Long and bloody games, but also funny. We had a PBEM here with about 50 turns (or more...)

Icering,
THAT's a raid !   Your bombers look more like A-10s than Stukas !

BTW, the combat screens are clearly impossible to read with such high numbers... It'll be cool to have "big" pictures representing 10 or 100 units, so that the screen stays useful.

towns=80 citysize=4 regime=4  chose AI++ to both three opponents, then i made some edits, added many major capitals for both regimes,so they can produce enough troops to feed bombers.i can enjoy the slaughter as long as they bought the fighter.
