Fellow Greybeards!

I am wondering, will EiA have uncontrolled major power rules as an option?

I say this in case I cant get 5 players and the AI proves beastly stupid- as all AI does in the end.

Not in the current version.  This might be considered for an expansion or something, though.

I would have 1 person play Austria/Prussia since their fates are so intertwined. As for the 1 remaining outcast, I would suggest leaving Turkey on AI. With Spain you are giving the advantage to BR/FR and it is better to have weakness near RU/AS than the 2 dominants.

Murat:

That is a very good idea since my testing is revealing that it is VERY challenging to play Prussia  / Austria alone. I am finding that the best option for Prussia is an early peace process or an alliance with France (Also quite difficult). They just cannot do it alone.

From my experience Prussia must marry itself to Austria and GB to survive. They would love to use Prussia to pound on France rather than have to do it themselves.

A perfect marriage.

I agree with you here. Britain has the money to flesh out the Prussian army and Prussia must be very wary of any enemies it makes.

That being said i would still have nightmares as Prussia about being carved up by Russia and France. Can two countries at war declare on a third power?

As powers ranked behind Russia and France Austria and Prussia would waste themselves fighting each other.

Yes Marshall

What were they thinking in 1807?

Mind you IF Prussia had joined the initial alliance of 1805 then things might have gone badly for France.

As it was Nappy bribed them to stay out of the war with Hanover, a promise that he reneged on- the swine!

Its not that Prussia has a bad army mind its just that awful geographic position.

Are you finding that they are fighting alone without support from Russia after or before Austria is conquered?

If so then there is little chance that they can avoid unconditional surrender.

British cash is good in the medium long term but cannot make enough difference when the crunch comes.

Perhaps a power for a good diplomatic player- but what to bargain with?

Yes two countries at war can DOW on another. Although some limitations apply.

Prussia is a fun country to play. You must convince Austria that if they are not tied to the waste that they will join the evil empire and France will love nothing more than to have a secure northern border with access to Russia while it rotates on Austria and Spain.

Austria should know this although sometimes they don't...

France has a hard time against a well funded united Austria-Prussian alliance.
