Hi everyone,

I wanted to keep you updated on EIA's release date as far as we know it. As you know, we've had a lot of releases lately and after a few discussions over the holiday we decided to take a breath and give ourselves a few more days to make sure every i is dotted and every t crossed before sending this one out to you all. We're getting our promotional info better organized, getting the store setup and tested and giving the final gold master one last run-through for due diligence.

The manuals are on the way from the printer and should reach our warehouse by December 14th, so we should be able to start shipping out physical copies very shortly thereafter.

Our current _firm_ release date for EIA is Tuesday, December 4th and I don't expect that to move at all. Get ready to re-fight the Napoleonic Wars!

Regards,

- Erik

Well it wouldn't be EiA without one last little delay!

Just kidding though, I'm sure you guys need the rest, with the whole Christmas/Thanksgiving craziness!

Nov 28 or Dec 4, I'm still ready to buy!

At this point, IMO, release before Christmas is the most important thing!

Since I had other plans for the weekend I'm glad I don't have to reschedule...

OK but only because you are using a pension check to pay everyone else will need to have quick fingers to get in front of me and my credit card

Erik,

Of course I'm just as anxious as anyone for EinA to come out, but please take the time you need to get it right.  Besides I've got a real hot CoI campaign going right now, so I'm not hurting for a wargame.  I met Jim on the CSO, looking for a game site, and what do you know he lives just down the road.  And even better, he's good.

I am going to be the voice of opposition. I want Matrix to take its time, but I REALLY don't want any more delays past Dec 4.

Doesn't matter how many good wargames one has... one can always have one more!

Hi Erik,

If the 4th of December is to be THE DATE we are all waiting for (according to your post), why don't UPDATE the release date on Matrix website for EiA?
This is strange: if your date is official, then OFFICIALLY announce it, no?

We don't tend to publish dates like that, but I can say here that it's still looking like an extremely firm release date.

4th. Read the OP.

EDIT: Doh! I believe it is Dec 14th for Matrix to receive boxes and printed manuals, meaning that physical shipments will be sent out shortly after.

No pre-orders, since we would like to put all versions (digital and physical) live at the same time and the physical versions should be ready by Tuesday but not earlier. It won't make a difference with how quickly you get the game in any case.

I kinda feel like we are getting two Christmas in December! Any chance we could get one more prerelease AAR showcasing some of the diplomatic/peace options?

BTW, EiA does not play in a perma-window mode like GoA, does it?

I've been following this title on and off for a long... time.

I'll bet Marshall will be glad when this Christmas finally arrives!!

Well done on bringing this project to a successful conclusion. I hope the fans love it (the tough audience that they are..)

Nope, it's full screen. No more pre-release AARs are planned, but Ralegh should be posting some more guides and I'm sure that once it's released lots of folks will be reporting on their campaigns.

Great! For those who don't know, Ralegh has posted some great guides for Crown of Glory that really helped me out in learning how to be an effective player. I really look forward to reading his guides.

If it were not for Ralegh's guide to CoG, I still would have it shelved.
