Greece joins the WA, Iraq has finally fell! In first attack I had 70% chance and failed, but after some bombing with mine CAG-s, there where no axis troops left to tell the story .
Berlin was again bombed, this time with heavy losses... Our FT-s are the same quality for some time now... And WA is using its numbers advantage...
Portugal has been reinforced for spring attack on Spain (psst don´t tell the Franco that, officially we are down there only to observe rare birds... yes, that´s it! RARE BIRDS!
HB-s are a little better now (6 def 6 LA), and sub war goes on and on... (Reich has only 2 subs left).
Will Moscow survive this turn?

Germany - Spr '45: No, Moscow does not survive. Russian army reduced to 3 Inf and a few isolated aircraft. OK, Churchill and Roosevelt, you greed warmongers. Bring it on. Greece will pay for its little backstab (I hope). Just not this turn.

Is it winter yet?

Turn sent to Dahnyul.

The shame is tremendous. At best I can claim I was enough of a distraction to cause Germany to burn supplies on taking me out. My trusty Western Ally has breached the shores of Europe in an unorthodox fashion. The Greek beach head held so he should be able to reinforce there substantially. However, German forces are now freed from the annoyance of a Russian Front.

My apologies Kondor.

Apologies not needed! I believe that you have learned a lot in this game and that you will use that knowledge in the games to come...
SU soldiers have fought brave and have inspired WA troops to give all that they can!
First dogfights occur again over Berlin, after that bombers came to take out rail on landing beaches (TLC was chosen for D-day). But GE AA where not just for decorations there... First hit gave one of the two AA veteran status. Second wave of the bombers (1HB+1CAG) again pulled No 1 dice and went down, AA=elite!
I was thinking about canceling the D-day and bombing some less protected infrastructure in France, but change my mind and sent two of mine veteran HB-s to take out that dreaded rail! And finally they came through! After that bombing was continued to suppress 2 of GE arty stationed there... Few more HB-s lost there... But eventually with HB-s + 2 HF-s, arties where damaged...
I called in 4 infantry and 1 veteran arty from England... Remaining defenders where 2 AA, I believe 2 infantry and 2 militia units (or 2 AA, 1 inf& 3 militia). I had about 65% chance of taking the ground and finally that has happened!
Now the situation looks good for WA, W. Germany is in danger, and all comes down to how many troops can Doug pull back next turn...
All the factories in W. Germany are destroyed or damaged... And I did some rail bombing in South Urals (where bulk of GE troops are) and they will not come back easily...
As shown in Dougs AAR axis forces have not reached the first watermark so I still have time to take down GE on time... Will I make it?

Germany - Sum '45: France is abandoned to the corrupt regime that ruled in the past. Albania is retaken and defenses are fortified. Will the Seigfried line hold?

Attack on Germany was conducted, but axis troops stand firm!
As shown in AAR losses should of been equal but at the end WA troops lose in ratio 2:1 (or 3:1 IIRC) I forgot to take SS of the actual battle report. Maybe Dahnyul could take one for me to show the report...
France is liberated, and TLC has been reinforced, infantry is upgraded and it is now equal as axis troops...
Arty-s are the same- (10LA)
Next post will be casulties so far... It shows that much production was placed into air and sub-trannies warfare...
Turn forwarded!

Germany - Fall '45: Greece is pillaged in retribution for its stab in the back. More good lads are sent to the Siegfried line. In will roosevelt realize his war of aggression can not pay. The fuhrer has been ready to parlay ever since that rogue land to the east was brought in line.

I attached the results of last turn's WA attack since I didn't do much of note.

Russia plays in the basement while the adults work things out in the living room of Europe. No chance of providing supplies to the stranded air wings.

Germany has taken an interesting approach. There is no chance for Germany to build a surface fleet to compete, but with the world's oceans infested with very capable submarine packs, Germany has developed a capability to really choke off the Allies' European operations.

Yes, that has surprised me, but luckily that CV was never a real threat... And now is disposed of!
WA could not mount a successful attack on W. Germany this turn, so I decided to reinforce and wait for inf. upgrade (8 8 this turn! And my inf. is finally superior! GE has 8 7).
I have emptied Africa/India/Gibraltar basically everything, and all is being sent for final battle...
There is a lot of troops in TLC and W. GER. so it should be a historical battle!
AA in Berlin was not so great this turn , bombers where taken out without losses! Last turn Doug has rebuilt 2 factories in W. Berlin, but I decided to go for unprotected ones instead... E. Berlin, Austria, Poland where hit...
Now the winter is here and I hope that I will soon break Dougs great defense

Germany - Win '46: Yeah, I like to build an Italian CV if I think it can get loose in the Indian Ocean. In this game, my Japanese ally suffered an unlucky setback early that put us on the defensive at sea early in the game so I never really had the chance to use it there. Nevertheless, it does a good job protecting the Italian coast as long as you can give it sufficient fighter cover.

Not much going on besides repairing factories and digging in. I almost forgot to get a screen shot so all I got was a picture of the development of wonder weapons.

Russia continues to fritter away its time inconsequentially.

I felt terrible for those stranded aircraft, so I dedicated my meager resources to bringing them enough supplies to let them know we still care.

I like the way it looks like my transports are being strung along behind my plane.

Turn sent to Dalibor.

First bad planning and bad luck on my part denied WA landing in Italy (and taking Italians out of war which would help). And then winter attack on Germany has been made... HB-s have destroyed the railroads, and after the battle two remaining artys in W. Berlin...
All in all not bad, casulties where the same, as predicted...

Maybe the wormer weather will boost some spirit...

Germany - Spr '46: This just in from Mr Goebbels " The German High Seas Fleet has dealt the Western Allies a resounding blow from which they may never recover. In a daring raid the Tirpitz sortied sinking an untotalled amount of allied shipping." The (remains of) Tirpitz have been sold to a Hamburg museum as part of the victory display currently under construction. There is great jubilation in the fuhrer's command bunker.

Meanwhile, the rest of Germany digs to avoid the avalanche of allied bombing and waves of allied infantry.

Meanwhile, the Russians have mustered a crazy old man with a sharp stick, thrown him into a wagon pulled by a three legged donkey, and have begun to liberate territory the Germans captured but found useless for anything other than for freezing body parts (should you ever want to do that sort of thing.)

Go Allies! (If we had planes, trucks, tanks, soldiers and an economy we'd be fighting too!)

Just to be certain we have made our contribution, the Russian bombers do drop rotten cabbage on Rumanian factories and score a lucky hit.

Ahh. I was sure I took a screen shot, but trust me, it was very, very impressive!

As Italy is reinforced, plans for invasion there are canceled!
All out attack on Berlin-failed, again! It looks like fort is commanded by Rommel... How else would they endure?
WA at least landed at Denmark, few upgrades are being introduced... To late I fear...

Germany - Sum '46: Rommel decides the wave is just too large to withstand much longer. Most of army is redeployed to Berlin in the hope that the Allies don't have enough LST's to overwhelm it this turn.

The end is near - one way or another.

In a wholly symbolic gesture Stalingrad is liberated. This would be more meaningful if the enemy hadn't packed up and left Russia out of boredom.

Well played by BoerWar so far, bu this last turn puzzles me. Is this the SS of your troop deployment?
Redraw from W. Germany ok, but why all to Berlin? I have no tanks, and only few paratr. in TLC+mine trannies are at 5 (only 5 units can land in Berlin). And you left austria&czehosl. exposed...
I belive that I will walk into W. Germany, land in E. Prussia and I will airlift my rangers to Czechoslovakia=surrender of Germany...
Maybe I am wrong, wouldn´t be the first time. After all that bloody fights with Rommel this last call really puzzles me... Maybe he finnaly saw that Hitler is ku-ku?
I will be able to do it tommorow because I am busy today...

The SS is prior to the build phase being complete. I don't think it is possible to look at the screen after builds are done. I think you'll find a somewhat different setup when you load up. Hopefully your Rangers will find some Mountain men waiting for them in Austria and Czech.

After that every flying object, FT-s, CAG-s, TAC, HB-s, flying bricks , everything but 4 HB-s needed for later transport of paratroopers, was sent to Czech., with bombs of course.
Attack went ok, and even enemies who survived where shaking with fear. Hope has returned to general Eisenhower´s face...

4 Ranger units where sent, and 3 where unharmed after the battle... On the other side one inf. unit+one militia unit was still fighting...One militia unit, just few suppres. points made the difference!
WA has lost, rangers sent to hospital, luck was not on our side! Why did that popping militia unit was not left at home with wifes? Don´t they no that next turn they all will pay?
Kudos to Doug for just right amount of troops left for defence.
As axis failed to reach first watermark, I failed to make a draw, GE will have their victory!
