Nice try Ike. But the one thing I learned from my try at "peace-making " on this thread , is some people like acting like rabid dogs. They are only looking for someone to bite.

Gee, Stevo, how did I know that you would find some way to blame the troll meltdown above on me? If there's a rabid dog about, it's the fascist fanboi above. You know, the guy who thinks an Argentian dictator has a right to forceably invade and occupy an island full of British citizens. The guy who thinks the Japanese were within their rights to start a genocidal race war in the Pacific, murdering, torturing and enslaving millions of people.

quote:

You're not a peacemaker, you just masquerade as such. What you are is a s**t-stirrer.

Exactly. This "Gentlemen please, we are too sophisticated to engage in the ad hominium personal attacks practiced by those low life scumbuckets who are too stupid to adjust to our high standards of decorum" nonsense is one of the lamest troll gambits yet. Just who do you think is buying this nonsense, aside from other trolls?

quote:

Right . You can see it all over the forum.

Correct. You can see it all over the forum. When ever there's any **** to be slung here, you're the one elbow deep in it.

My, someone's having a meltdown, aren't they?

quote:

MADCOW is nothing more than a GQdamn ¨HATESITE¨ as hate thrives over there and they openly talk about running people off the forums.

Well, I imagine it is a step down from the reasoned, logical, intellectual discourse you're so famous for enlightening us with.

Scrolling through the topics in just 10 minutes I was shocked at what I saw....and I QUOTE!!!

"Quotes" lifted from over four years worth of archives with no links for context.

This very mutherfVcker is on this very thread calling me stupid and a troll for even asking about this picture and he said the Abu Ghareb pictures are fake!

Which "mutherfVcker" is that? No way of knowing, since random sentences which may or may not have been lifted from the MCS archives are simply slung against the wall in the hope that something sticks. And you are a stupid troll, by the way.

quote:

And it just gets better and better over there with this gang of MADCOW TRYING TO PLY THEIR **** HERE! What do they say about my own country?!

Its election time in the Economic Basket Case of Argentina, they need to rabblerouse some. Exactly the same reason why Galtieri invaded the first time around. Typical dodgy banana republic prop up the home support stuff.

Something there that isn't true? If Argentinia is a shining beacon of tolerance and democracy in the Southern hemisphere? I must of missed the memo. But at least now we understand why you're such a fan of totalitarian dictatorships.

quote:

And there are many more like this about my own country and many others countries.

Well, it's certainly a good thing you set the example for us with your tolerant and balanced views about our countries, isn't it?

quote:

Waterboarding is not torture? You dumb SOB. You forgot to mention you can easily drown someone doing it or send them into cardiac arrest not to mention the mental aspects of it.

Well, as a supporter of fascist regimes, including the one in Argentinia, you would know more about torture than the rest of us, wouldn't you?

quote:

Matrix Games. If these people want to have their little hate filled far right wing superiority site over there I do understand you can do nothing about it.

Matrix is an American company, so they're a bit more tolerant of dissenting views than say, a military dictatorship in Argentina. I'm sure you're used to ordering people you don't like "dissapeared", but it don't work that way in the United States.

quote:

BUT you can, and need to get this sh!t under control and stop it from spilling over onto this site.

The United States, unlike Argentina, is a free country, and we don't get things like independent web sites "under control" like they do in your country. I'm sure if we were in Argentina, you could just pick up the phone and have one of your pals in the secret police come and kick my door in and drag me into some soccer stadium to be shot, but unfortunately for you, I live in the United States and not Argentina.

quote:

]Now do that or ban me. One or the other but I do not have to, and will not tolerate this.

Once again, since we live in the United States and not Argentina, we really don't give a damn what you will or will not tolerate. Maybe you should stick to trolling web sites in Argentina, where you can tell people your family name and threaten to have them locked up and tortured to death if they don't kiss your ass. That won't work here, Augusto. Go to hell.

Here's hoping you get caught on the wrong side of the next coup, you fascist ****.

This'll be the only post I likely make in this ridiculous thread.

I've been water-boarded. For training by my own countrymen. It sucks. But its a fact of life in interrogation. And I really love it when naive leftist idealists come crap revisionism on the US when they perceive us on the low road. It really makes me laugh.

The USN considers it vital training for Naval Aviators. In fact USN aviators have been water-boarded as part of SERE school (Survival Evasion Resistance Escape) since it's inception. Why do you think that is?

If you think Abu Ghraib was a shame then do a little research on Gulf War I, or even II. I happen to know a guy, personally mind you, who had his jaw broken not by blunt force, but because he was being electrocuted and the clenching of his jaw under the force of it caused it to give way. He was also sodomized and spent significant time bound, gagged, and naked. By the Iraqi's by the way not the US.

After that I'd be all for water-boarding. It'd be a relief when I could just blissfully pass out.

Mods. This thread needs to be closed.

... I still say he should not take up peacemaking as a vocation. ;)

You on the other hand...

Frankly, from my own personal experience in Bosnia, military and former military personnel aren't really trained as peacekeepers; our mission is basically to kill and maim in the name of the US foreign policy!

But before someone pulls the plug on this thread, "We won't stop shooting" is the Eastern equivalent of a "Buy Bonds" poster that would be displayed at a local theater during the war. In fact, Ike's photo was also shown on a theater billboard; in Western propaganda terms, it was something like "Don't give up the ship," as seen from the context in the link I found.

But for the record, whenever you take quotes of posts out of context, they always seem worse than they are. Posts on other threads on other forum should probably stay there; if you have to, it would be better to just post a link and let the reader take it from there.

Re the Falklands: I recall this conflict, and was surprised that Argentina just took -- took back? -- the islands by force. I guess they thought the Thatcher govt. wouldn't come down there and contest it, but it did! Then Thatcher's boys were surprised by the Argentinian AF coming in at low-level like kamikazees armed w/million dollar (French) Exocet air-to-sea missles.

This conflict would make a great computer sim -- along the lines of UV -- if it hasn't already been programmed.

Ike - wow.

I normally do not contribute to arguments, but one thing continues to gall me, so I shall speak up.

I frequent MCSH also. I resent being labeled ('moron', etc) because of a forum I happen to go to. Any person here can go to, and would be welcomed at, MCSH. They can express their opinion as they wish, as long as they do not break a specific sub-forums' rules. Others can counter with their opinions. How is that moronic or wrong? I am a member of many forums, and should not be pre-judged when I come here. If Matrix forum members were judged on other forums as 'Matrix Idiots', and you were labeled as such simply because you participate here, I do not believe you would enjoy it.

The other thing I wish to briefly address is this "they invaded our forum', or 'they come over here' stuff. If you will check the 'Joined' date next to individual member names, you will note that many of us MCSH 'morons' have been members here far longer than some of the people slinging these sentences around. We play Matrix games, take part in their projects, moderate some of their forums, and frequent their discussion areas. When we are here we are Matrix forum members, and should be treated as such. You will not see us pointing out that the newer guys have actually invaded OUR Matrix forum from somewhere else, and that they should go back.

That said, I used to be hesistant about posting at MCSH. Some of the forum members there seemed abrasive or 'mean'. Since I have started interacting with them, I find them to be all different, just as in this forum, or any other. Do they agree with eachother always? Hell no. Same as here. I would welcome any of the MCSH 'bashers' to come over and bash away. You will be answered, for sure, but you will be free to post as you wish, where you cannot here. Matrix has a business to run, and their decision to seperate the two forums was likely for the best.

Thanks.

Goblin

Here is a clip I found real quick. I don´t know how many have seen this one so I post it here.

It´s a Japanese pilot who surviived his crash, a US ship, looks like a DD or something moves along side him to pick him up. He pulls out a grenade and kills himself.

Just so everyone knows this video is a bit graphic. So watch at your own discrection.

http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=WdHezBN5mBE

Ouch.

Interesting about the grenade. Did they typically carry these on kamikaze missions in case they ditched or could not find the target?

I was wondering the same thing. Then I saw this clip.

Among other things it shows bluejackets machine-gunning survivors in the water. This same guy from the first clip is one of them. The splashes are from a 20mm cannon (or so it would appear).

These segments are from 2:16 to 3:00

Nice try Ike. But the one thing I learned from my try at "peace-making " on this thread , is some people like acting like rabid dogs. They are only looking for someone to bite.

You're not a peacemaker, you just masquerade as such. What you are is a s**t-stirrer.

Right . You can see it all over the forum. I'll let what I've said and done be judged by people who read what I've written. If you honestly feel that about me , please feel free to green button me. It's to the upper left of this box , right next to the "buddy button" Have a nice day.

I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. If you've been sincerely trying to "make peace", then you're just really, REALLY bad at it.

So please don't take peacemaking up professionally. Your efforts would likely end in a nuclear exchange.

Thanks for the advice. That's why I joined the Navy instead of the State Department. On the other hand , you do need something to work with.

Doggie , you don't need someone to argue with you , you need some one to clean up after you. Sorry , I don't want the job. In your "world" , your a moderator. That's someone "who moderates". You have that defination confused with "fight promoter". If I'm elbow deep in it , it's only because I've been trying to clean it up.

I don't masquerade as anything but what and who I am. I tell people who I am , where I live and what I do. I don't hide anything. Can you say the same? For some reason , you go after me , not because I've attacked you, but because you wouldn't have any more fun if "peace broke out " on this forum. As I said before , and you quoted you can see what I've said all over the forum. I'll stand by it. Now go hide under your poirch till someone else comes along you can bark at and try and bite.

That was not a good idea.

Ike had already nuked this thread, it just hasn't been noticed yet.

Still, what was so absolutely intolerable that you felt the need to intentionally violate forum rules in order to "eliminate" it?

This is what I see in this forum, from my limited viewpoint, that I'd like eliminated - not that it really matters:

People that post at another "freewheeling" site are visting occasionally - they are the enemy of those of us that dwell in our forum!

Marky doesn't type so good - he must be driven from our midst!

Ike posts a picture and asks a dumb question - he must be ridiculed (in his thread and in an anti-thread) And anyway, he's too stupid to be one of us, he must be an intruder.

FYI...I was one of Marky´s PBEM opponents before his computer destruction trials
I really hope he comes back soon for some turns....

While I agree that quite a few of us here (myself included) have very much gotten out of hand , and deserve whatever punishment the moderators decree , aren't you overstepping yourself a bit by declaring who is "our enemy", and who "must be driven from our midst". With all due respect , did I miss the election that declared you "King of the Forums"? I thought it was "The" forums , not "our" forums. Or more accurately "Matrix's Forums". I will respect and obey Mr. Heath's and his moderators decrees, I'm not about to follow your's until someone from Matrix tell me to.

You seem to have missed the point completely.

I showed what this forum looks like to me, an occasional visitor whenever WitP changes are in the wind. I'm not the "King of the Forums". In fact it's the self-appointed forum kings that rub me the wrong way. Again, "not that it really matters".

Sorry , I did miss your point. This is another good place to use the much debated "sarcasm smiley". And it does matter. Again , my apologies.

this was not against Ike and Marky !!!
Read the whole thread....

FYI...I was one of Marky´s PBEM opponents before his computer destruction trials
I really hope he comes back soon for some turns....

I didn't intend the second half for you in particular. I should have been more clear about that.

I should have read this more slowly --{This is what I see in this forum, from my limited viewpoint, that I'd like eliminated }

Doggie , you don't need someone to argue with you , you need some one to clean up after you. Sorry , I don't want the job. In your "world" , your a moderator. That's someone "who moderates".

Yep, in "my world" fascist trolls like Ike are not allowed in our gaming forum. I would have dropped the hammer on him in a heartbeat. Ask any of of the "steakhouse morons". In "my world" hatefull trolls are confined to a dedicated off topic forum and not allowed to pollute the entire board with their pathological bigotry.

In "my world" I enforce forum policies objectively, even when I have to choke on it. In "my world," even those whose political views are diametricly opposed to my own freely admit that I'll stand up for them when I think they're in the right.

Yep, nearly every "Steakhouse moron" here knows my name address, and phone number. It's pretty common knowledge. I've exchanged game discs, mail, and phone calls with a number of people from Austrailia to Europe. And as you may have noticed, I aint exactly hiding from you. I'm right here, in your face.

quote:

For some reason , you go after me , not because I've attacked you,

I go after you because I keep clicking on threads about airplanes and such and find you telling all your intellectual pals like Ike about how long time respected members of this forum are a bunch of idiots, low lifes, and scumbags because they respect the Matrix admin's wishes and take their off topic traffic to my forum, where it belongs. Some people, like you, continue to promote their hateful personal agenda in this forum, where it doesn't.

And once again, those of us who have been here for years find it amusing when some pompous ass who registered a few months ago keeps telling us how we are invading his territory. It is we who are cleaning up after you, troll.

Stick to subjects related to computer games and stop proseltyzing on behalf of your fellow trolls and nobody will "go after" you. Like I keep telling you, all it takes for you to be a "peacemaker" is for you to STFU.

I'll vouch for you on this, even as someone that was vehemently opposed to a particular policy decision.

Accurate. When I joined the Steakhouse, Doggie sent me a game to play until I was bored with it, with only the request that I send it back when finished. I did not know him; I had only read his posts here and there. I only posted that the game sounded cool, and it was in the mail before that day ended.
