Greetings!

Wanted to say that after some deliberation I ordered the game. I have owened and played every CC game made except these by Matrix.
I will likely pick up COI also. I was very excited to find the series had been picked back up. Perhaps only short of Madden Football, this is
the game series that has taken most of my time.

With that said and greetings out of the way I have a couple of questions.

The first and most anxious is: Do the Soldiers recieve awards in this version? I have played two games and won both but not seen
and medals or decorations on the details screens. Not a show stopper but one of the most rewarding (no pun) things about this series
for me has been to see PVT Snuffy complete several acts of heroism and win a Silver Star or MOH.

Secondly: Why does the M249 and some other weapons shoot single shots? Or at least audibly they do. I have yet to hear Joe Gunner rip into
a group of targetss in the open. Just... pop... pop.... pop...

Thanks and looking forward to getting into this community.

P.S. Is there no search feature on these boards? If there is, I am missing it.

Well... I found the search feature.

I guess I expected a little warmer reception from this site though. 54 views so far and not one single "howdy", " go to hell",
or "dumbass, the search is right at the bottom of the screen". Feeling kind cold in here....

Awards were disabled for the USMC version and were not turned back on for CCMT. This may or may not be in the patch, I wouldn't know, but it has been pointed out. BTW, you are the first player to notice/mention it.

The M249 fires a 4 round burst and has the sound file for it, so all I can say is that you might have mis-heard. One of the basic limitations of the CC engine, whether we are talking CC1, CC5 or CCMT is that there is only one rate of fire for any weapon. Hence M4/M16's don't use a three round burst. But I do assure you that regardless of what you may hear, the M249 is putting out four rounds on every firing. You can even see this in the ammo count in the Soldier Monitor window.

And by the way, welcome to the community. This was not the greatest week of the year that one could garner much attention, so please don't feel slighted or ignored. Next week probably won't be much better either what with real life plus playoffs and bowl games, don't cha know! Keep checking back.

Thanks for the replies gents.

I didn't figure that this forum would garner much attention this week (except perhaps from the admins?!?)

I will check my sounds again. I have a really top notch machine so there should be no reason for anything to not work. Perhaps it was selective
listenning. I did notice the ammo draw on the weapons but don't recall hearing any bursts.

Awards... :(

Like I said, no show stopper, but the awards was truely one of the greatest features of some of the CC installments.
