I'm trying to learn the Scenario Editor. As a start I'm trying to update or tweak a couple of the existing scenarios now that I've moved up to HCE. So I'm trying to remake the Fortress Keflavik scenario from the original GIUK battleset to the EC2003 GIUK battleset, to get the changes that the HCDB will bring. Spent a good part of Saturday doing this. Most of the platforms are still there in the HCDB but had to make a few substitutions. Such as no more Coontz class. Also F-4s substitute for the Phantom II, And, while playing God, I felt sorry for the Kiev class having those pathetic YAK-38s that are useless. So I swapped in an International version of the Harrier II as a substitute. Maybe the USSR copied them? And gave half an Intercept loadout and half with ASuW loadout.
After getting the groups and courses and formations setup (finally learned how to get the starting speed right! so the ships don't just sit there), I took it for a spin as the Red side.
Playing it by my control, it did well. I solved the worst problem that the AI has on this scen, which is the totally uncoordinated attacks that it does. Playing the original GIUK version, Red sends in 16 bombers - UNescorted. I get fighters over and shoot them all down about 75 miles before they can launch their strike. Easy because they had no Air Defense. Then 30 minutes later a pair of SU-27s show up. I shoot them down in a few minutes, after evading their missiles. Then a while later another 16 bombers show up. UNescorted again. Being more prepared, I meet them a little farther out and shoot them all down again. Then a pair of SU-27s show up again, too late. Not a good effort by the Red side. I want to see if a better more coordinated strike mission can be done in the SE.
Flying it myself, I send in 2 flights of 3 Flankers to clear and hold an area near the E end of Iceland. And fly in a big group of bombers with those beautiful, 270-mile range, standoff killer missiles. Some of the missiles are shot down on the way in, but enough get thru to do 60% damage to Keflavik. A second wave of 10 Badgers is about 30 minutes behind. Increased opposition from Blue appears with 3 flights of fighters. Some Flankers get shot down and others run out of LR missiles or are bingo on fuel, so have to return to base. The Badgers try to close in with no escort and launch their strike. These planes have the 100-mile version of the AS-5 missile so they have to get closer. Fighters are closing in and they won't make it. So the bombers are ordered to break off and head for the Blue group of ships which have been located by Recon and are closer. The Badgers are able to launch just before one group of fighters close in. 4 get shot down as they break off and head back to base. Arriving flight of SU-27s save the rest. The AS-5 missiles wreak havoc on the ships. Enough get thru to sink 4 ships including the Iowa. And new flights of SU-27s are shooting down all planes that they find. And 3 subs are closing in on what's left of the ships. There is a little cleanup to do but this scen is over.
Once I get this cleaned up, it could be posted somewhere if wanted. I know about Scenshare and Harpgamer. What are the rules on posting one if it's based on one of the published scenarios?

If you mean a revised version of the scenario, you should (as with all intellectual property) obtain the express permission of AGSI or the scenario's author before distributing same, as the case may be. If you're referring to an after action report (AAR), go ahead and post your AAR - no worries.
