The reason it's by design (I'm guessing here) is that the check box at the top (with the minor's name by it) is a marker telling if ANY of the boxes below are checked. If you have one or all six checked, the one above will be checked. If zero, then the one above will be unchecked. When you click one of the upper boxes for the first time, nothing happens other than highlighting that minor's name. Then, if you go below and check one, the upper one gets checked. So, I think it's working as planned. I will add, however, that it could use some work. Not for the first patch, but later, I suggest: * Have the ability to apply a template. This would mean an extra set of the majors below, which would be used as a template. It should have a check box above it that says "apply the same list of major name check boxes when I click the check box for a minor's name above". Or, something like that. The way it would work is: As France, I check the "Prussia" and "Austria" lines in the template. If I leave the check box above it unchecked, this has no effect. However, if I check the box (text above), then, whenever I click on the check box of a minor (in either "Minors to support" or "Withdraw DOW's ..."), now it DOES get checked, and the check boxes I picked (Prussia and Austria, in this case) get checked along with it. * If the above suggestion is adopted, then another feature would be that it allows double-clicking one minor's name above to apply the template to ALL of the minors, not just the one clicked on. This would then match (somewhat) the feature to the left (where double-clicking checks all the boxes).
