The reason I post all of the combat report is in many ways for my own refernce. I remove the bombing altitudes to cut it down a bit. I will try to post the highlights in bold at the top so that you can skim (or skip) the rest. Today Clark and Tuguegarao fell leaving just Manilla and Bataan on Luzon. In Malaya Johare Buru, Singapore, and Khoto Baru are all that remain. An attack at Khoto Baru failed to clear out the defenders. My BBs may have to pay them a visit. Recon flights show Rangoon as empty. Either I am getting bad intel or Bill has pulled back into the jungle. SEAC Chinese forces have been spotted moving along the trail to Lashio. Should make for a good fight there. In The way South Pacific Luganville and Efate were taken to complete the collection. Now I will have to get supplies and troops to the units there before the islands just become a big POW camp. Overall, the Jap war machine needs to pause to catch it's breath. The massive expansion early on came at the price of running out of fuel and supplies. The fact that the AVG and B-17s have not shown themselves concerns me. Not knowing where they are is making me advance much more cautiously now.
