Puresim has an amazing talent to create some interesting name combinations. In your fictional association, what fictional player do you think has the best/coolest/most unique name?

My entry: Augustus Rainbolt

I don't know if he sounds more like a Goth Superhero or a flying samurai rabbit from some Anime series.

I have a Peter Parker in AA.  I edited his nickname to Spidey.

There's a relief pitcher in my league named Elmo Roux.  I also like Chicago's closer Horace Frady.  By the way Frozen I like your team name, the Key West Rum Runners.  Personally my fictional team is the Fort Lauderdale Beer Nuts.

Augustus Rainbolt sounds like a name for a porn star.

My favorite cool name is Carlos Jack.

Silly/unique names are everywhere. I found these:

Gabriel Cadwallader
Lincoln Heap
Alton Wojciechowski
Mike Yawn
Mohammed Culpepper
McKinley Battista
Andrew Tickle
Frank Free

And these guys, who ought to be a Tinker-to-Evers-to-Chance combo:

Walter Hand
Claude Dick
Arthur Hair

Ditto for this trio:

Carl Mei
Arlen Yu
Paul Ma

I've also seen two Richard Nixons, one George Bush, and a John Doe.

That guy is in my just-started fictional league. He's a pitcher for the Reds in my association. Think I'm refer to him as Tom "Thumb" Thomas.

The VERY FIRST TIME (2005) I used fictional players, I checked the assn's players for the sole purpose of looking at their names. There were about 300 players in this assn.

I noticed a player with the last name of "Do" with a 1st initial of "K". At the time I was working with a guy named Keith Do. Sure enough, when I opened up the card, I saw the complete name of "Keith Do". I almost fell out of my chair, knowing how rare this combination of names must be!

Mohammad Culpepper.....that's my favorite one, Bustoff.

I've had names pop up of two of my real life friends, Mike Nakamora and Pail Irving. Creepy.

This is one of the coolest features of the game though. Look at the major leagues. We have Milton Bradley and Coco Crisp and Dick Pole (coach).....Good stuff.

Fortunately, I had many smiley choices for just such an occasion...

My favorite player name is Nikco Matsumoto, 27 yr old RF. I did have an infield made up of these players, 1B, David Lindsey; 2B, Thomas Langston; 3B, Christopher Lattimer; SS, Marco Long. They were my L,L,L&L boys. They gave us power, speed and average. Only 37 year old Langston is left.

I'll make sure to watch my typos on this board again.
