It's also important to get a screenshot of the battle display right at the end. There ARE occasions when a cav corps can defeat a large army, and take no casualties. In a game we played about 20 years ago, France's main army attacked Blucher, sitting on one corps. The French hope was to capture Blucher and end his problems with the Prussians once and for all. It was worse than that for the Prussians, actually. They had 3 cav factors in the corps, and no infantry (see? The AI isn't so bad. :)). At the end of the battle, the losses were: France loses 4 cavalry (one on the last round of combat, and 3 more in pursuit). Prussia lost no troops at all. So, it's important to also know what the die rolls, mods applied, and chit selections were, as well as terrain. There ARE situations where this can happen. Now, back to your issue, I want to note that I have fought (in the computer game) with a large number of factors against a single cav corps, and the losses have always worked out correctly, or so it seemed. I haven't checked the exact troop loss counts ("Is 5% of 10 really 1 factor?"), but the battles "seem" OK. I will do some more rigorous checking of these counts and make sure they happen as they should. Anyhow, this could be a problem just with your specific game. Marshall is quite right to want to see the game saves and stuff.
