First at all, many thanks for this excelent SUPER NEW GAME. Ok, go with the question. Whay the leIG18 and sIG33 are considered like asault guns without posibility to use like artillery?. This is not new, in SP, SP3 and a lot of games is the same. But Infantry guns are classified as those issued organically to the infantry regiments rather than to the artillery regiments. Their purpose is to give the infantry their own heavy fire support capability. And I can see three photographs of the 13. (IG) Kompanie of SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 1 sets up itscamouflged SdKfz 138/1 self-propelled 15cm sIG33 guns in a field near, radio provides the link with a forward observer ("The Battle of the Bulge. Then and now.", Jean Paul Pallud. Well that´s all. Almogavar ------------------ Desperta ferro.

I know - the field guns directly attached to the German Inf Companies do not "work as expected" (you can't use them for indirect fire), but IIRC the ones you buy seperatly should be o.k. . Sad thing is - as the FC and RF values are soooo poor for this units, they are mostly useless in direct fire mode This is mostly an OOB issue (I noticed before but havn't brought up in this forum) - I'll try to get it through to the deaf ears of the fellows of the OOB team .. let's see ... What optical fire control did they have. None beyond "iron sights" I've been able to find? Should they be given FC and RF based on how you want them to perform, or on what equipment they had? Have you used them in version 4 - the 150 IGs are VERY effective. The crews of IG units were untrained in indirect fire procedures (though they did attempt it on ocaasion, such would be a 150mm OBA unit, not an on board assault gun). Give me some specifics to support your argument and I'd be much less deaf to your pleas. I'm sorry but "they don't work like I want them to" isn't a very convincing argument.

Hi Paul, You are incredible, is the same saturday, thursday or sunday, always in guard. Well, I have two photos and I see the sight on the le IG18 (7.5cm), looks similar at 10.5cm FH18, if you want, I can send you. Sorry, but is very dificcult to find photos with sIG33´s sight, I have only three photos in a Battle of the Bulge sequence but you can´t see the sight, only three men with the radio and "Grilles". Thanks again. Almogavar ------------------ Desperta ferro.

Good question - considering that we can't "recreate reality" with this game engine, the stats should be tweaked maybe so that the "overall effect" makes sense in game terms but not necessarily the single event(shot), if you know what I mean ?! Have you used them in version 4 - the 150 IGs are VERY effective. Ney - I'm still struggeling with that download - with ~12kB/s it takes too long so I can't finish the download at work .. and I won't try at home with 56k modem - I have to pay for online time, and than there are those people with the bad habit of calling me - the "knocking tone" will shurely spoil the download, and I just can't remember who to turn it off Give me some specifics to support your argument and I'd be much less deaf to your pleas. I'm sorry but "they don't work like I want them to" isn't a very convincing argument. I see I see ... but it was not me who complained that these guns can't do indirect fire - after all, would be very easy to exange them with mortars, which will do so ; when I tried Inf Guns it was with v2.3, and I found them mostly useless, as they weren't able to hit the broad side of the barn, but drew instant counter(OP-)fire that surpressed (and most times destroyed) them quite effectifly, so I changed them to 37mm AT shich can hide much better seemingly. On the other hand I doubt that these towed guns where used for direct fire at the frontline - as they even haven't got a gun shield, they are very vulnerable to enemy fire of any kind. Maybe someone has a source that mentiones the range at which they were deployed - maybe it's just that the sighting range in SPWaW is too short for these guns to be used effectivly ?! Arralen
