After a long military deployment I've finally returned home, moved to a new assignment and settle back in to what is as close to normal life as I'm going to get until retirement, but this is for another blog... however, I've returned, eager to get back into MAXFootball (I've missed it and all of your camaraderie).

Has anyone tried to run MAXFootball on an Apple Macintosh? (even via Paralles or some other emulation program?)

Have our honored designers considered using Apple's Universal Compiler to compile a version that is both MAC and PC friendly?

I've long, long been a MAC Man (I don't want to get into a debate of MAC vs. PC or anything like that here) and I'm kind of tired of having 5 machines on my desk so I've simplified and I've downsized to two: 24inch iMAC (Intel Duo chipset) and a MacBook Pro laptop (also an intel chip), that and my DELL PC went Tango Uniform about 30 days after the warranty ran out (don't get me started on their great customer service).
WHile I just LOVE MAXFootball, I'm having a difficult time brining myself to getting another PC just to run MAXFotball....suggestions please?

Hi.

The only suggestion I have there is to try Apple Bootcamp. It allows you to install a full version of XP on a separate partition of an Intel based Mac. Once you find the drivers for the remainder of the Apple hardware it should work...although, I've never heard of anyone actually doing it so it's all theory at this point.

I would think a Windows emulator would be a problem. The extra layer would simply slow things down too much.

Beyond that, no I'm sorry, I have no plans to make a MacOS version of the game. The OS simply doesn't support any of the technologies I used to create it.

thanks
David

If the Mac has an Intel based CPU rather than the older Power PC or other processor, and has the Leopard OS, using Boot Camp with Windows will allow many Windows programs to be run.

Here is a link:
