I have a new computer with the latest processor, so why does this game take ten minutes for the computer (AI) to complete it's turn?

There have been many other threads about this.

When playing on large maps with many AI opponents, the complexity of the game is such that an AI brain needs a lot of computing power to make decisions that will challenge you.

If you want faster turnaround, go for a small map with fewer ai opponents.

You mean that the AI is supose to be challenging?

thought my comp. had problems.

As all5N said try a smaller map (maybe official ladder map) against AI.
If then the computing time still need minutes on a new PC something is wrong.
