I just did another install of WITP.
I did this so I can try CHS or RHS. On my first install, im running BigB's.
I just downloaded the patches 1804 and 1806.
In my first install Im just patched up to 1804 and I have two pbems going.
If I patch up to 1806 in the second install it wont screw up my first install?

No but it will show the latest patch level on the starting screen of all installations as it reads the registry for this.

??

i don't think so... i have something like 5 versions of WITP on my machine (for testing) - but only with ONE installation - the correct version of the EXE comes up with each version.

BTW - it is NOT recommended to do separate installs of the game (about 1/2 the time or so you will get fatal errors trying to do so)... just copy the WITP folder and rename it, and apply any changes to the new folder. This way you can keep your games separate and it helps to avoid the replay/sync bug.

right...

I have one install that I made a copy of...the original is at 1.804 and the copy is patched to 1.806. It shows 1.806 on both as there is only one registry key for War in the Pacific.

Maybe I was about as clear as mud on my first post.

i also have versions 1.801 and some other special and supersecret versions - they all are labeled with the appropriate version when they start... and there was only one installation.

Mine come out the same as rtrapasso.
One shows a patch for 1.804 and the other at version 1.806
