I'm playing in Van Buren, IN. I have been playing since the original betas that Shaun released before the official release. I want to say that was back in 1999-2000. I've bought and enjoyed every release since then. I have enjoyed being able to lose myself in my own little baseball world.

Being a Pittsburgh Pirate fan since 1980 (I'm 35 now) it's probably good that I have an alternate baseball world to enjoy.

Playing in historic Montgomery, Alabama. I love replays, but have taken a little holiday break from my 1975 Oakland A's replay.

I play a few times a week in Liberty, NY formerly of Middletown, NY. Grew up watching the Mets, still waiting for a 1986 type season.

I lurked for a long time and picked up the 2007 version.

I play in Albany, NY. Born in The Bronx, grew up near Poughkeepsie, NY and remember listening (and being blinded by) Lindsay Nelson's jackets while watching the Mets on WOR-9. I miss Kiner's Korner and there were always too few happy recaps in those days.

Of course, I also have memories of Mssr's White, Messer, & the Scooter on WPIX (channel 11).

My father still thinks his greatest failure as a Dad was raising a boy from The Bronx who is a Mets fan

No its not that much of a move distance wise. It is a whole different world though in the Catskills (weather) than in Orange County, plus not a whole lot of stores and business up there either. I still spend a lot of time in Middletown. Now if only my wife could finish school so we can move back in that direction it would be fantastic, because I work in Monroe . The commute is not so bad now but when I started it felt like it took forever.lol

Ah, Route 17. I grew up off western 17, the Southern Tier Expressway. Never in my life have I seen a road under permanent construction.

I spent many a summer at my grandparents house in Nicholasville as a youth. Usually stayed for 2 weeks each summer. The farms out there were beautiful. I havent been back in probably 25 years, but I remember it like it was yesterday.

I totally missed this thread.

Playing and commishing the only online fictional Puresim league on the web (that I know of at least ) from Washingtonville, NY. That's a stone's throw from where Nukester lives and slider works in Orange County. Our league is entering the 5th season and still going strong! Just ask Nukester how much fun it is playing against real people since he is part of the league.

A great big thanks to Shaun for all the time he puts in supporting the game let alone all the new programming involved.

Hi Wrath,

I don't want to turn this thread into anything more than it was intended for. I'll send you a PM.

If anyone is interested in learning more about our league or setting up and playing an online multiplayer league, please feel free to PM me.

I expected you would have picked up on that a few months ago when I made a Biscuits vs Barons reference. You're slipping Don.

Isn't that something! In fact I go Washingtonville quite frequently. I miss the deli that used to be on the corner of RTE 208 and RTE 94. Jay's I think it was called. Great philly cheese steaks. If you ever need a player for your league just let me know.

Scottish flag to boot too

I play this game a couple times a week. I live in the Chicago area. I came across the Beta version (and forums) a few years ago and have probably downloaded every version since 2004.

It Rocks!

Thanks, Shaun.

Northern Rhode Island. Been following/playing Puresim and OOTP since the days of OOTP1 and Pre-Puresim. I commish the longest running OOTP league in history, the MLB Century. MLBC started with OOTP2 in 2000 simming 1905, we are now simming 1966 with OOTP6.5. Honestly until recently I preferred OOTP as Puresim did not replicate deadball baseball very well. Now that the engine sliders have been added and closers can be turned off deadball is much more appealing. Also allowing strategy decisions from the main game screen is a tremendous addition for deadball play. I find myself now playing Puresim much more that OOTP as I am not a fan of the direction OOTP has taken since the 2006/7 release. Puresim as is presented now is probably somewhat superior to OOTP6.5 but without the online league features of 6.5. The interface and 'game feel' of Puresim is extremely more to my liking than OOTP2006/7/8.

Geez, it seems like one of the biggest markets for the game is in the Hudson Valley - Catskill Mountain region of New York

Honestly haven't played in a few months but still a big time supporter that has bought every version since 2003 I believe. Waiting to build a new computer before I load Puresim and start any new associations.

Also I'm still the ONLY ALASKAN that is on these forums and that plays Puresim that I know of.

I play this game! From Mt. Prospect IL, Chicago area, I've followed this game for awhile, played OOTP and Mogul, someone said Shaun's game was somewhere in between and they were right, I love it! Been playing a fictional set that starts in 1968, it's really great

I am addicted to this game in Fairfield, CT.  I commute by train into NYC a lot, and the game helps keep me sane.
