Hi guys,

I was just checking up on some of the scenarios that have been in the sandbox for a long time without seeking approval.

I'm trying to contact the scenario designers and find out if they are still testing the scenario or if the are stuck with a problem they can't solve.

loin_of_judah Has a scenario called Indochina in the sandbox.
He has obvously spent a lot of time designing this scenario and it looks like it could be a real blast to play but he is stuck.

I love to play and have the real easy job of throwing my opinion around, but when it comes to the hard work of actually designing a scenario you guys are the experts.

Lion_of_judah has a problem with his graphics and is very frustrated. He is to the point of pulling his scenerio off the board and I think that would be a shame to lose all that hard work. Can anyone help him out???

Graphics isn't my strong point, but it may be that this is not actually graphic related but something else to do with files and folders or something?

It would help to know what the problem is ...

If you say where I can download the scenario I'll take a look.

For starters the install is not as easy as I would prefer, but that is not the problem.

The game seem to be searching for graphics in the wrong location or maybe the graphics just don't exist.

After you install and try to launch you will see.

OK I've had a look and reproduced the error.

The problem is a combination of the graphics being in the wrong place, and some files being missing. All the graphics files need to be under the "graphics" folder not under "Scenarios". The game does not look for any graphic files under Scenarios. I can only presume that the reason it works on the designer's PC is because there is in fact a complete set of all the files and folders under "graphics".

In order to create a zip file in the correct manner I would think that a separate Zip program will be needed rather than the built-in Windows Explorer thing, which can only do one folder at a time.

I think you're correct. I've also just finished looking at the problem with the graphics. I've sent a pm to Lion_of_Judah to see if he'd like to pursue it.

Hurrah!!  Glad I'm not the only one who had this happen - I'd like to play it if this can be fixed.

The Indochina scenario has been re-packaged. I've been working with Lion_of_Judah to try and get the image files so that they load for everyone.

THe new zip file also includes the latest scenario edits done by Lion_of_Judah.

The new zip can be found at

http://www.advancedtactics.org/scenariobank.php in the sandbox area. If you still have problems with the zip file, post message here. Hopefull all of the image file problems have been resolved.

What I did was pretty mundane, Lion_of_Judah did the hard work. I hope others who downloaded this scenario and had problems with the graphics take another look at it.

Hey lion,

I was checking out your scenario a bit. I think it would be more interesting if you had fewer production cities. You could have a few production cities with high production and turn the rest off. Thialand has something like 43 production cities. That's a lot of micro-managment.
Just a suggestion. Having lots of production cities wouldn't prevent the scenario from getting approval when you decide to submit it of course.

what I would like to do is have the major cities be able to produce supplies, men and material but only have towns produce supplies nothing else, and so is this even possible in this game or as of yet not?
