A problem has been reported with 1.2.25 that can cause a crash due to levies. 1.2.26 fixes this problem.

You can now download v1.2.26 from our Members' Club as long as you have registered your copy of Crown of Glory. Click on the "MEMBERS" link in the top navigation bar and look under Registered Downloads once you've logged in.

Status: offline 		I seem to face the same problem as The Hunter. The "registered downloads" link brings me to

which is the

Crown of Glory v1.2.18 Beta Patch

At least it says so (and the readme.txt file as well), I haven't downloaded the 30+ MB in order to check out whether just the label is wrong.

Status: offline 		I can only see 1.2.18beta patch even though in the registered downloads section it has 1.2.26 7 AUG 2006? When you click on the download link it takes you to the 1.2.18 3 MAR 2006 beta patch.

I am downloading it now just in case it is simply labeled the same.

The 1.2.18beta in the registered downloads is still just the 1.2.18beta

Status: offline 		Hi, I stopped playing COG for a while. Recently I got the latest update 1.2.26. However, I encountered a platoMFC error even before having the main menu screen (where to choose a scenario to play). Do I need to d/l any previous patches? Any idea?

Status: offline 		Ok, I upgraded to 1.2.26 but I don't see the upgrade to the game manual. So I question if I have successfully upgraded or not but the game says I have. Any way to get my hands on the manual upgrade?

Status: offline 		It should appear in the windows program list of COG items: click start; all programs; crown of glory; COG Manual Update. The old manual is still there as well and remains the link on the games opening screen which might be causing the confusion.

Status: offline 		I think that you need to load 1.2.25 and then 1.2.26 as the latter is only a part patch to correct a problem in the former.

I have the same problem as Naomi:
Done 1.2.25 + 1.2.26 update and from this point ...
PlatoMFC error even before having the main menu screen (where to choose a scenario to play).
Update the video drivers but no change!

Next step?

Status: offline 		I have the same problem.  Newest beta update, registered and the game crashes before I even get started--on both computers and they work fine for every other program I use.

A guy emailed me that I have to change by display settings to 96 dpi--but I have no display setting like that.

Start - Settings - Control Panel

Doubleclick "Display" - click the "Settings" tab - click the "Advanced" button - where it says "DPI Setting" change it to "Normal Size (96 dpi)"

Status: offline 		Have you tried to uninstall the entire game and then install with your game CD then apply the patches in sequence?

Status: offline 		Have you tried shutting down other applications before running COG?  I do know there is at least one screen saver program that rather rudely shuts off COG's open DirectX handles and causes COG to crash.  Would you mind posting your computer's DxDiag file?

Status: offline 		Now it works!  Didn't have to use the .18 patch.

Learned one thing: you can't play it on a lap top while trying to watch the news!  Came back and it was way out of whack!  Had to shut it down.

Now I want to compare the partitions of Poland (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Rzeczpospolita_Rozbiory_3.png) with the game map.
