Another day - the sun hasn't really made an appearance yet (very overcast) but it seems to be well over the horizon... after mild to warm temperatures all week, it appears we might have a winterish storm tonight...

BOBCAT ALERT:

Another bobcat just passed beneath my window - this (i think) was the smaller of the two that went by 2 days ago... this time the dogs saw it and put up an alarm, and it also set up a general alarm by the numerous crows in the area (which divebombed him).

My wife finally got her camera into action, and it had gone into the underbrush ...

But wait - it came back out into the field behind the house and trotted across it (pursued by crows) - she got numerous shots, but the cat was moving almost directly away... i will post the best one here in a bit...

I hope it doesn't head our way. It's a nice day today in Birmingham. Sunny, temperature currently @ 68 degrees at 12:30 p.m. A few of the trees have already started to bloom.

Well, she was hoping for shots of its face and she was disappointed about that, but at least she got some shots this time (last two days she missed two bobcats, and a coyote)...

Well she shouldn't get too disappointed as the Bobcats seem to be turning into regulars around your place. She'll probably get many more chances.

A county biologist told my wife they have a very large range.

BTW - i re-listened to the part of the recorded book about Eisenhower's lucky coins: a US silver dollar, a French franc, and a British crown piece... i had thought it said a 20-franc piece, but this was wrong.
