I saw 51 pass by 5 year ago. 60 is much closer that I care to think about.

As a 29 year old, I find it comforting to know I don't have to deal with the petulent teenagers here...well occasionally.

Give SmilinJack his B-day present...we'd like it as well :)

I remember the Tudor board well...I just won an original 620 field that I used to have in the 70's on an Ebay bid a couple of weeks ago.
Just for general purposes...I'll probably never play it, but it brings back counless hours of fun and memories...I'm getting up there

I got a vibrating football game for Christmas in 1963. I don't recall if was a Tudor game or not. Mine had a larger field than most games and it also had metal ,2D, stadium that could be attached to one side. Rarely used that because it made it hard for 2 people to play. My players were 3D with metal bases. I would put small magnets for weights on the bases to make the players move straighter. The ball was magnetic and the kicker/passer had a trigger like mechanism to propel the ball. I also had a Photo Electric football game. It was basically a box with a light bulb in it that glowed through a transparent plastic thing. You laid your offense play card down and then a defense play card over the transparent thing and then turned the light on and you could see the play result. A really cool game.

And I also had a vibrating baseball game. Metal playing field, magnetic ball & pitching and batting mechanism. Pitch the ball, swing the bat, turn on the motor and the runners move around the base paths. Really fun game.

As I got older, I had APBA football, baseball & basketball. The basketball game was tedious and it took too long to play a game. I played the football and baseball games until I was in my 40's.

I had vibrating football but we never played with it. 1982 strike season Statis-Pro Football, tabletop game, we played that baby for years. Still my greatest memories. I used my team, Da Radahs, Allen had an "A" breakaway and a zero stamina which meant I could run him as much as I liked. The "A" meant he could go all the way, he could score from any distance. I traded for the Eagles Wilburt Montgomery he too had an "A" breakaway and a zero stamina. Our league about six of us required a vote for all trades to be allowed...my friends weren't to bright. That Raider team was 8-1 as it was.

That game taught me football, strategy and probabilities. I still love Statis-Pro.

And Bowl Bound/Paydirt...one summer 274 games!!! in Paydirt every game of the season!

Ahhh...very good times.

Jay
