I've seen a saved game (WaW) at a friend's where two British SMG units are in Rome, *together* with the large Italian HQ and an Axis infantry unit. They're handled as enemy units (no complete info), seem to be out of supply, you can't select them, but you also can't attack the hex because there are friendly units in there. I don't know how they got there.

If possible please get a savefile from which it is possible to reproduce the erronous situation. That way i can see what is going wrong and correct it.

obviously something has gone wrong due to scenario events or game engine.

It wasn't on my machine, but maybe I can get the file for you. Also, I don't know whether he had already patched the game.

He doesn't have the turn file any more, but he says the latest patch was installed. It happened when neutral Italy joined the Axis (through an Event). There were British (AI) units already in Rome.
